Jerry Mitchell, David Foster and Gregg Barnes Talk BOOP! THE MUSICAL at The Fabulous Fox
Watch the creative team break down the show's journey to the stage in three exclusive clips.
A trio of behind-the-scenes conversations tied to BOOP! THE MUSICAL has surfaced from The Fabulous Fox, offering audiences in St. Louis a closer look at the creative minds behind the upcoming production. The St. Louis venue posted the videos ahead of the show's engagement, spotlighting director Jerry Mitchell, composer David Foster and Costume Designer Gregg Barnes as they discuss bringing the animated icon Betty Boop to the stage.
In the first video, Jerry Mitchell speaks directly about the process of adapting BOOP! THE MUSICAL for a live audience, giving fans a sense of his creative vision for the production. The second clip pairs Mitchell with David Foster, who discusses the show's music, offering a two-perspective conversation between the director and composer about how the score and staging come together for the tour.
The third video shifts focus to Costume Designer Gregg Barnes, who talks through the visual world of the musical and the challenges of translating a black-and-white cartoon character into a fully realized stage production. Taken together, the three clips give a rounded view of the show's direction, sound and look ahead of its arrival at The Fabulous Fox.
BOOP! THE MUSICAL is one of several titles in The Fabulous Fox's current slate, alongside productions like CLUE, which opens this fall in St. Louis. Single tickets for BOOP! THE MUSICAL are part of the venue's broader on-sale push, as detailed in an earlier ticket announcement covering the 2026-2027 Broadway Series.
