Program

The ballets that Manuel de Falla dressed up with his scores have been recognised as the best Spanish music of all time: these two masterpieces were released between 1915 and 1919 and since then they have topped the list of achievements in Spanish classical music. Albert Guinovart is best known as a composer for film and theatre, but his symphonic catalogue is extensive; one example is the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2, dedicated to the playwright Sergi Belbel and, as he himself says: “It's the beginning of a new era; a demonstration of where I am and where I’m going; you can see the traces that I have left behind me.”
