Hilariously funny and touchingly honest. With a “Steam Punk” aesthetic In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20 year drought has led to a government-endorsed ban on private toilets.
Citizens are forced to use public loos, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for the basic need to wee! ?But what happens when one person decides enough is enough!
Hilariously funny and touchingly honest the award-winning musical Urinetown premieres in South Africa at the Artscape Arena, Cape Town from 4 to14 July 2018 - thankfully not before Cape Town's very own Day Zero!
Inspired by the work of Bertol Brecht and Kurt Weil, Urinetown is an irreverent satire in which no one is safe from scrutiny.
