This November, The Pinelands Players present a local season Terence McNally and David Yazbek's THE FULL MONTY, directed by Laura Bosman, with musical direction by Barend van der Westhuizen. A hilarious and moving stage show based on the iconic film that was released twenty years ago, THE FULL MONTY follows six suddenly unemployed men who have families to support and bills to pay. They are desperate to salvage their pride and make some money, but just how far are they prepared to go to provide for their loved ones? After seeing a group of male strippers rake in the cash, they come up with a bold and crazy plan to go one better - they will go all the way for one night only. THE FULL MONTY is a pop-rock musical comedy full of heart. It is about overcoming gender prejudices, male insecurities and fears of inadequacy, as the men, who think they have nothing to lose but their clothes, begin to realise how their plan will leave them exposed both physically and emotionally. Featuring the most anticipated closing number of any show, THE FULL MONTY is about six men who eventually find strength in each other and the women in their lives who love them and cheer them on.
