The 'Heat is On' in Fort Wort. ​​In as much as the chandelier falls in Phantom; the helicopter and the amazing cast of Miss Saigon has landed in Fort Worth for a glorious week of stellar entertainment.

After the helicopter landed last night at the Broadway Theatre, the company of MISS SAIGON celebrated the show's triumphant return to its original home at the historic Tavern on the Green.  It was there that the cast took one of the musical's lyrics to heart and partied like it was the last night of the world. BroadwayWorld is taking you inside the opening night after party below!

Rehearsals began today, January 12 for Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Boublil and Schonberg's legendary musical Miss Saigon, which will return to its original home, The Broadway Theater (1681 Broadway) beginning performancesWednesday, March 1. The original production of Miss Saigon opened at the same theater on April 11, 1991 and played there through January 28, 2001. Directed by Laurence Connor (the recent hit revival of LES MISERABLES, School of Rock), the Broadway return of Miss Saigon will feature four of its London stars, Jon JonBriones as The Engineer, Eva Noblezada as Kim, Alistair Brammer as Chris and Rachelle Ann Go as Gigi. The cast also includes Katie Rose Clarke as Ellen, Nicholas Christopher as John, Devin Ilaw as Thuy. Lianah Sta. Ana will play the role of Kim at certain performances. Miss Saigon has its official opening Thursday, March 23. Miss Saigon will play a limited engagement through January 13, 2018 before launching a North American tour later in the year.

Just yesterday, 'Star Trek' alum, social media icon and activist George Takei was joined by Tony® winner Lea Salonga and his Allegiance co-stars for a very special afternoon. It all started with Marc Oka (an Original Broadway Cast member) who decided to try and gather members of the casts of MISS SAIGON for a reunion. He went to URBO (a fantastic restaurant, bar and venue, in the heart of Times Square) and Manager, Benjamin Ickies, who is also a musician, and BOOM ... the night was born.

Signature Theatre will present an all-new production of Tony Award-winning musical Miss Saigon, directed by Signature Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer this summer. Running in the MAX Theatre beginning August 15, the production opens the theatre's 2013/14 season with all the adventure, romance, and excitement that Signature promises with the re-imagining of a classic musical.
