Winner of the 2019 Encore! Producers' Award, Rewind is a Musical Tale about Love, Redemption and the Magic of Second Chances.   A powerful producer derails a young girl's promising music career and she spends the next 50 years waiting tables.  When the producer skydives out of a plane, he is met with an untimely end and is barred from Heaven.  To gain entrance he must, with a little help from the Universe, rewind Time and help her reclaim her destiny.  He's given a years' time limit.

Rehearsal images have been released from the Tabard Theatre's Christmas production of The Little Match Girl, based on the classic fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The musical that launched the Christmas single Mistletoe and Wine, will be directed by the original show's composer, Keith Strachan.

Strange reports of magicians losing their powers make their way to the royal magistrate.  When two tricksters arrive with their fake magic show, the royal magistrate believes they have found the root of the problem.  Facing arrest, the two escape to a mystical forest where they discover the true cause of why magic is disappearing. Having to choose between risking the wrath of the royal court or taking their discovery to their graves, the tricksters must decide whether saving a kingdom is more important than saving themselves.

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Not all news was good though, as we also suffered a loss of an incredible amount of talent. Below, BroadwayWorld sends a fond farewell to those who passed away in 2014.

Musicals Tonight! the Obie-winning company dedicated to the revival of neglected musicals continues its 2013-14 season with a 16-performance run of Marvin Hamlisch and Howard Ashman's 1986 musical SMILE (through November 3) directed by Thomas Sabella-Mills, with music direction by David Bishop. Actors Equity held a celebration for the 60th Anniversary of the Gypsy Robe on Monday night, October 25th at Sequoia on Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport where past gypsy robe winners came back to reminisce and to celebrate.

To celebrate one of the most successful shows of its fall season, The Club at La MaMa will re-mount The New Stage Theatre Company production of 'Oh, Those Beautiful Weimar Girls' from January 29 to February 7, 2010.
