Multimedia company Artist Playground presents I Remember A Boy, a musical revue featuring Original Pilipino Music's (OPM) classic hits, on Saturday, November 11, and Sunday, November 12, at Arts Above (112 West Avenue, Quezon City).

ArtsBridge Foundation at Cobb Energy Centre celebrated its 10th Anniversary with an Overture Gala on September 21. The electrifying evening of festivities included a reception emceed by Paul Milliken from FOX 5 Atlanta, a sumptuous dinner, a medley performed by Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards winner Heritage High School, and a performance of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, Million Dollar Quartet. 'One Night Stand,' a monthly cabaret series, which has been packing in the crowds at 12 Monkeys Music Hall & Pub in Makati City since April 2015, gathered the original cast of the 2007 Philippine production of Disney's 'High School Musical' (HSM), led by Sam Concepcion,Cheska Ortega, Alex Godinez, and Kakki Teodoro, last night, July 5.

Broadwayworld.com interviewed Joe Slabe about his career and his new musical 'Crossing Swords' The show is being produced by American Theater Group and will be on the Hamilton Stage of UCPAC in Rahway from April 20th to May 1st.

Additionally, three scholarships and one grant were awarded.

The popular Musical Mondays series continues at Le Cirque, and for the holiday season Jazz & Cabaret performer Cole Rumbough and his trio entertained in the famed restaurants cafe. Cole grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut and pursued singing as his passion. In high school, he toured Europe with his church choir and a prestigious national choir called 'Sound of America,' made up of 80 of the best high school singers in the country of 2007, representing 45 states. At 22, Cole is currently a senior at The New School University in Manhattan majoring in Jazz Voice and History. He has appeared at numerous private and charity galas in New York, the Hamptons and Palm Beach. In August of 2012, he was a winner of the Jazz Arts Forum Vocal Competition and performed in the Dobbs Ferry Jazz Festival.

As announced last week, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, the company of Broadway's first-ever revival of Stephen Schwartz's legendary rock musical GODSPELL welcomes a new leading man -- stage and screen star Corbin Bleu (Disney's 'High School Musical,' Broadway's In the Heights) -- to the starring role of Jesus. The Huntington Theatre Company continues its 28th season - a season of American Stories - with A Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration, a new uplifting holiday event by Pulitzer Prize winner Paula Vogel (How I Learned to Drive, The Mineola Twins, The Baltimore Waltz). Steppenwolf Associate Artist Jessica Thebus (Intimate Apparel, Dead Man's Cell Phone, Sonia Flew) directs. Andrew Resnick (A Civil War Christmas at Long Wharf Theatre) provides musical direction of beloved holiday music supervised, arranged, and orchestrated by Daryl Waters (Tony and Grammy Award nominee for Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk). The Huntington's production will be enhanced by local choirs caroling from the stage before each performance.

Executive Producer Ron Iannone is excited to announce the West Virginia Public Theatre debut of the global musical phenomenon Disney?s High School Musical live on the stage of the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre in the WVU Creative Arts Center from July 8th through July 12th and July 15th through July 19th. This hit movie-turned-musical is a modern Romeo and Juliet story about two high school juniors from rival cliques: Troy Bolton, captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez, a beautiful and shy transfer student who excels in math and science. Together, they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical, and as a result, divide the school. Despite other students' attempts to thwart their dreams, Troy and Gabriella resist peer pressure and rivalry, inspiring others along the way not to 'stick with the status quo.'

Eric McCormack, Emmy Award winner for 'Will & Grace,' will play El Gallo, Lucas Grabeel from 'High School Musical' will play Matt, and Broadway star and Tony nominee Harry Groener will play Bellomy in 'The Fantasticks,' which concludes the 2008-2009 Reprise Theatre Company at the Freud Playhouse May 5-May 17 (press opening May 6).

High School Musical, the theatrical version of Disney's Emmy Award-winning mega-hit, sings and dances its way onto Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences' stage from March 10th through May 9th and is expected to be the hottest ticket in the Chicago-land area for families and young audiences. High School Musical is directed and choreographed by Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences favorite, Rachel Rockwell (Disney's Aladdin, Seussical, Wizard of Oz, and Princess and the Pea).

In conjunction with the second edition of his hit book How Does the Show Go On?, Broadway producer Thomas Schumacher gave the keynote address at the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta. The national festival dedicated to groups working with elementary and middle school aged young people, ran from January 16 -18, 2009. Schumacher's presentation (on Sunday, January 18), much like his book, enlightened more than 1,500 theater lovers about what goes into putting on a Broadway show. Child actor Henry Hodges, who starred as ?Michael Banks' in the original Broadway cast of Disney & Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins joined Schumacher. Schumacher's much heralded book, How Does the Show Go On?, was originally released in 2007 and went on to sell over 50,000 copies. A second edition was released in late 2008 and has been updated to include Broadway's The Little Mermaid and the stage production of the mega-hit High School Musical. A library edition of How Does the Show Go On? is also available. The book, written with Jeff Kurtti, gives readers the opportunity to meet the cast of characters who work onstage and behind the scenes to deliver unforgettable performances, and explore the inner workings of the theater building itself.
