Another classic from the 1940s is gracing the stage at Broadway at Music Circus.  This time, it’s Kiss Me, Kate, the musical-within-a-musical that cemented Cole Porter’s return to Broadway as a successful lyricist and composer.  It ended up being Porter’s longest-running Broadway show and won the very first Tony Award for Best Musical.

The Hawaii Shakespeare Festival will launch its twenty-first season, themed Civil Brawls, in a new venue-KOA Theater-with two related plays, Both Your Houses and Romeo and Juliet, sharing a cast and running in rep from August 12 to August 28.

The Old Globe has announced the cast and creative team for William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Globe Resident Artist Patricia McGregor (The Old Globe's Krapp's Last Tape, Measure for Measure, Broadway's 24 Hour Plays), who was recently named Artistic Director of New York Theatre Workshop, directs a cast of 20.

The Old Globe has announced the cast and creative team for William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Globe Resident Artist Patricia McGregor directs a cast of 20. A Midsummer Night’s Dreamwill begin performances on July 31 and run through September 4, 2022.

Shakespeare's beloved romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet joins the Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival's 33rd Season in Sen̓ákw/Vanier Park. Romeo and Juliet runs on the Howard Family Stage in the Douglas Campbell Theatre for a limited engagement from August 3 to September 24, 2022.

Shakespeare in Clark Park is bringing a night of raucous comedy to Clark Park from July 27th to July 31st at 7pm, with The Taming! a comedy in two very different acts. The Taming! pairs Shakespeare’s problematic masterpiece, The Taming of the Shrew, with a community-created adaptation of John Fletcher’s Elizabethan revenge play, The Tamer Tamed.
