Minneapolis Musical Theatre (MMT) kicks off their 24th season with a "concert staging" of the Off-Broadway musical hit Murder Ballad at the Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater (810 W Lake St, Minneapolis) October 2nd, 9th and 16th at 7:00 p.m.

The Old Globe opens its 2015-2016 Season with IN YOUR ARMS, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's The King and I and South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). The production begins tonight, September 16, with an opening slated for September 24, and runs through October 25, 2015.

The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) announces the productions selected for its newest program: FringeFAVE. On August 30th, one final performance slot in each of the 17 theaters hosting the festival has been given to the best-selling show in that venue. After a week of air-conditioning problems at The Lynn Redgrave Theater that caused some performances to be canceled and others to be performed with only work lights, FringeNYC has moved 8 of its shows to SoHo Playhouse.
