Tomorrow, April 25th, will mark the 32nd anniversary of the passing of vocal arranger, musical director, pianist, and musical genius James Raitt. He was only 41years old when AIDS took him from us far too soon. While James’ career was cut short, what he left us will always be a reminder of his many talents.

To say that the Tony Award-winning 2022 musical “Some Like It Hot,” which Broadway in Boston is presenting at Citizens Opera House through February 8, has quite a pedigree is putting it mildly.

'I went to school, did a couple of cruise ships, and then I moved to New York with two bags and a tube of Chapstick, and I've lived there for 15 years now. Which makes me official, I think.'

Costello came up with an intriguing mix of crowd favorites, snarling his way through his harder edged material like “The Beat,” “(I Don’t Want to Go to) Chelsea,” and “High Fidelity” and displaying his softer side with ballads like “Almost Blue” and “Poisoned Rose.”
