La Jolla Playhouse has announced full programming for the 2026 WOW Festival of immersive, interactive and site-inspired work, presented in partnership with UC San Diego. The WOW Festival will take place April 23 – 26 on the UC San Diego campus.

SOCIETY Theatre Company will present the world premiere of ENTANGLED: 12 SCENES IN A CIRCLE K OFF THE I-40 IN NEW MEXICO, exploring themes of quantum science and free will, from March 11-29 at HERE Arts Center in New York.

In 2026, there is a stigma around any successful professional who follows a parent into their line of work, with this being seen as a pattern of nepotism.

To say that the Tony Award-winning 2022 musical “Some Like It Hot,” which Broadway in Boston is presenting at Citizens Opera House through February 8, has quite a pedigree is putting it mildly.

The festival runs from 25 February to 8 March in Glasgow.

DEATH OF A DRAG QUEEN is a hilarious glitter-streaked Southern gothic about love, loss, and the personas we build to survive. Ensemble Studio Theatre’s Youngblood program has announced ten new members for its 2025–2026 season. Rec Room Arts has delivered at least the first half of a miracle. This is something that feels less like a revival and more like a call to arms, and Kushner’s words echo louder and more forcefully than ever. 

While different tryout theaters have different relationships to the development of new shows, it’s worth looking at both which commercial rental theaters and which non-profit theaters have had the most Best Musical Tony Award winners come from their stages.
