?Great Music at St. Bart's, the concert series produced by the Mid-Manhattan Performing Arts Foundation (MMPAF), for the past six years has presented music in St. Bartholomew's Church, a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of New York located in the heart of midtown Manhattan. 

They called it the 'War To End All Wars.' Between 1914 and 1918, over 17 million souls gave up their lives on the altar of the first-ever modern war. Musical Theater History (MTH) at Crown Center presents a new and fascinating look back called 'Songs of the Great War.'

Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas (MTT) and the San Francisco Symphony (SFS) will release an all-Debussy album featuring three works that illustrate the French composer's mastery of orchestration including Images pour orchestre, Jeux, and La plus que lente, on the Orchestra's Grammy Award-winning SFS Media label on Friday, October 28, 2016. The recording will be available for pre-order on iTunes.com/SFSymphony and SFSymphony.org/Debussy on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Great Music at St. Bart's, the concert series produced by the Mid-Manhattan Performing Arts Foundation (MMPAF), for the past six years has presented music in St. Bartholomew's Church, a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of New York located in the heart of midtown Manhattan.  The magnificent 1918 Romanesque-style church features a portal designed by Stanford White and a grand Byzantine-style interior - and two of New York's unlikely but outstanding concert spaces:  the 150-seat chapel, an intimate and acoustically brilliant space that is perfectly suited for contemporary chamber music, and the majestic 1,000-seat sanctuary - outfitted with comfortable chairs enabling flexible seating - whose Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ is the largest in New York City and one of the finest examples of the American Classic Organ in the U.S.

Vancouver International Flamenco Festival proudly presents the local debut of Mercedes Amaya Company,September 16 & 17, 2016, 8pm at the Vancouver Playhouse. Helmed by the niece of legendary Gypsy flamenco dancer, Carmen Amaya, this ensemble of artists from Mexico and Spain will dazzle in Templanza, a sensuous journey through the history of flamenco and its Gitano origins. Each evening will also feature a special opening performance: On September 16, Saskatoon's celebrated ¡ARTE! Flamenco will share the evocative De Cal, Canto y Arena; On September 17, Vancouver's own Flamenco Rosario will start the night with their playful Flamenqueando. Tickets will go on sale August 13.

?The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, in collaboration with the Manhattan School of Music and Oratorio Society of New York, presents the world premiere of a transcription for organ, vocal soloists, and choruses, of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 8, on Thursday, April 7th, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street), Manhattan. This event follows the two performances of the symphony in its original orchestration at the Cathedral on February 24th and 25th.
