Maestro Thierry Fischer leads the Utah Symphony through a double dose of Antonin Dvorak on Nov. 21 and 22 at 8 p.m. at Abravanel Hall with performances of "My Home" and Symphony No. 7. Guest violinist Fumiaki Miura, a rising star from Japan who made his U.S. debut with Utah Symphony in 2012, will play Camille Saint-Saens' Violin Concerto No. 3. In celebration of the anniversaries of the 1939-40 and 1964-65 New York World's Fairs-both of which took place in Queens-Museum of the Moving Image will present an exhibit of films that were made for the fairs and which reflect post-World War II-era optimism and focus on American industry as central themes.
