MCC Theater (Bob LuPone, Bernie Telsey, Will Cantler, Co-Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) announced today that Oscar and Grammy Award-winning music and culture journalist Cameron Crowe (Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Almost Famous) will moderate Behind the Lyrics, a special one-night event that will take a deep dive in to the songwriting process for Space Dogs. 

The Marsh announces the line-up for its second digital global festival, MarshStream International Solo Fest, presenting performers from across the nation and around the world in a three-day online marathon of 36 global works.

The first lyrics Amayo wrote & sung from the GRAMMY nominated “Fu Chronicles” Antibalas album for the song “Fist of Flowers” (Best Global Music Album of the Year 2020) begin with 'the end is a new beginning.' That is true with his 23-year run as the Lead Singer and Face of the band Antibalas. He conceptualized, composed, performed on, and illustrated the latest Antibalas album “Fu Chronicles” earning the band its first GRAMMY nomination.

Joining the previously announced Michael Fox (Jim/Tom), Andrew Langtree (Karl/Steve), Richard Lintern (Russ/Dan), Imogen Stubbs (Bev/Kathy) and Eric Underwood (Albert/Kevin) are Katie Matsell (Betsy/Lindsey) and Aliyah Odoffin (Francine/Lena).

We got a chance to chat with Melissa Jacques (who plays Jamie's mother Margaret) on her history with JAMIE, her first time working in Los Angeles and the decline of theatre etiquette.

It was announced tonight on stage at the BONNIE AND CLYDE concert at Theatre Royal Drury Lane that a production of the musical will play the West End beginning in April 2022 at the Arts Theatre.

Having had to shut down the production of Bruce Norris' seminal play Clybourne Park at final dress rehearsal in March 2020, Trish Wadley Productions and David Adkin, in association with Park Theatre, have announced that the production, originally planned for the play's 10th anniversary year, will open at the venue in March.

Global Creatures today announced Moulin Rouge! The Musical will commence performances at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre on 28 May 2022. Tickets for the Sydney season go on sale to the general public on Thursday 16 December, with pre-sale tickets available to waitlist members from Monday 13 December.

​​​​​​​Everything But Fear is a short documentary about Francisco Mendez, a renowned boxing trainer and founder of Mendez Boxing, New York City's premier boxing gym. “Tenemos todo menos miedo” – “we have everything but fear” – is a phrase that guided Francisco from rural Mexico to 26th street in Manhattan, and this film is a testament to everything that he achieved as well as what the New York City boxing community lost when he died of COVID-19.

The Dramatists Guild of America has announced that the recipient of the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award is Adrienne Kennedy. The award will be presented at the Guild’s annual awards ceremony at a later date.
