This spring, Music Director Thierry Fischer and the Utah Symphony continue their Saint-Saëns recording cycle on Hyperion Records with Volume 2, comprising Symphony No. 2 in A minor, the Symphony in F major (“Urbs Roma”), and Danse macabre, featuring concertmaster Madeline Adkins. Launched to critical acclaim last winter, the three-volume set will be the first complete, commercial recording of Saint-Saëns's five symphonies by an American orchestra, as well as the orchestra's first recording project with independent British label Hyperion. Volume 2 is included among the label's May 2019 releases and is available digitally and in the UK on Friday, April 26 and in North America on Friday, May 3. At each Wednesday Bryant Park Dance Party event, audiences will learn basic steps with expert instructors from 6pm to 7pm by the Bryant Park Fountain, then get the chance to test out their new moves to the hot sounds of live music as performed by some of the New York City's best dance bands from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Cherrytree Management and Live Nation have confirmed that Sting will perform at the Usana Amphitheatre in Utah on August 31 at 7:30 PM for a very special, one-night-only appearance, accompanied by the Utah Symphony. All proceeds from the concert will go to the Zion Forever Project to benefit Zion National Park as part of the Park's centennial celebration.

Following the recent news that a fire had destroyed the entire set of their touring production on New Year's Eve, London Classic Theatre are pleased to announce that the extension of the UK tour of Charlotte Keatley's My Mother Said I Never Should will go ahead as planned. Kathryn Ritchie returns to play Jackie Metcalfe and will be joined by Rebecca Birch (Rosie Metcalfe), Lisa Burrows (Margaret Bradley) and Judith Paris (Doris Partington). Artistic Director of LCT, Michael Cabot, directs the production, which tours to a further 14 venues in 2019. The tour starts at New Theatre Royal Portsmouth on 6 February, with performances in Newtown, Ipswich, Doncaster, Middlesbrough, Richmond, Derby, Poole, Winchester, Worthing, Epsom, Swansea and Oldham before concluding at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford in April. Press night will take place on Wednesday 27 February at Richmond Theatre.

Like most of his work, Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery is a sure-fire crowd pleaser. Ludwig reimagines an Arthur Conan Doyle classic as a farce, complete with madcap antics and a small troupe of actors playing a multitude of memorable characters. Michael Duffy's production for Sumter Little Theatre is a great reason to check out a lovely playhouse outside of the Metro.

This three-volume set will be the first complete, commercial recording of the composer's five symphonies by an American orchestra, as well as the orchestra's first recording project with the independent British label. Volume 1 is released on Friday, December 28 and comprises Symphony No. 3 in C minor (“Organ”), featuring Paul Jacobs; “Danse Bacchanale” from Act III of the composer's opera Samson et Dalila; and Trois tableaux symphoniques d'après La foi, based on the composer's incidental music for a play by Eugène Brieux. On November 2 and 3 at 7 PM, the Utah Symphony Films in Concert series will haunt Abravanel Hall with "Ghostbusters" in Concert, the 1980s cult classic about a team of Columbia University scientists who wage a high-tech battle against the supernatural, with the musical score performed live to picture by the Utah Symphony. This special event includes one of the state's largest costume contests, with winners scoring access to a plethora of passes and tickets to local Salt Lake City museums and events.

ABC announced today a star-studded lineup of music, film and television stars who will join the celebration of Mickey Mouse on 'Mickey's 90th Spectacular,' airing SUNDAY, NOV. 4 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network. The two-hour television event honoring 90 years of the internationally beloved character will feature appearances by actress, activist and mom Kristen Bell (Disney's 'Frozen'), actress and Hollywood Records/Republic Records recording artist Sofia Carson (Disney's 'Descendants,' Freeform's upcoming 'Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionist'), two-time EmmyÒ Award-winning actor Tony Hale ('Veep,' 'Arrested Development'), and actress Sarah Hyland (ABC's 'Modern Family'), as well as special musical performances by Josh Groban, NCT 127, Leslie Odom Jr., Meghan Trainor and Zac Brown Band.
