Award-winning actress Meg Ryan makes directorial debut with the film, ITHACA, which opens Thursday, June 24 at the River Street theatre in Jaffrey,. It will play at 7pm each day through Saturday, June 26.

The Hollywood Bowl has announced the cast and creative team for a benefit performance of SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, conceived and directed on Broadway by James Lapine.

Jaffrey and the Monadnock Region can boast two entertainers that have a local and global following: Bernie & Louise Watson. The talented husband and wife duo will perform in their hometown of Jaffrey on Wednesday, June 21 at the River Street Theatre (RST), a project of The Park Theatre. The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) announces today that Sir Andrew Davis will act as Interim Artistic Director for two seasons following the conclusion of Peter Oundjian's 14-year tenure as Music Director at the end of the 2017/18 season. Maestro Davis will provide artistic leadership through to the middle of 2020, when the TSO anticipates that a new permanent Music Director will be in place.

Once again, Custom Made Theatre brings a Kurt Vonnegut novel to the stage with the world premiere of Brian Katz's adaptation of Vonnegut's third and highly celebrated novel, Mother Night.

Violet--The color and time of day named in T.S. Eliot's 1922 epic poem The Waste Land. This color permeates Renaissance Theaterworks (RTW) season ending production figuratively and literally in the Studio Theatre titled The Violet Hour. Directed by Artistic Director Suzan Fete, the comedy infused with a surrealist happening sets a scene in 1919, a few years after World War I and before the Great Depression. The story tantalizes audiences with the question that is prophecy, knowing the future, a gift or a curse? Richard Greenberg's 2003 Broadway play explores this dilemma and models the period's hope and optimism after "a war to end all wars," on characters referencing Zelda and Scott Fitzgerald and chanteuse Josephine Baker. All celebrities who reached a zenith in their careers, and then ended their lives in some despair. When the audience sits in the theater watching from the 2017 perspective, what do they make of these questions, lives and future?

Boston's most original and innovative opera company, Odyssey Opera, continues its Wilde Opera Nights series, a season-long exploration of operatic works inspired by the writings and world of Oscar Wilde.

"An Act of the Imagination," Bernard Slade's masterful and suspense filled mystery, will be the third play of the Hampton Theatre Company's 2016-2017 season, opening on March 23 at the Quogue Community Hall and running through April 9.

Balanchine choreographed 425 works over the course of 60-plus years, and his works are considered masterpieces and performed by ballet companies all over the world. So you can image how thrilled I was to find out Los Angeles Ballet was going to present BALANCHINE: MASTER OF THE DANCE as their final selection of their 2016/2017 season. In it, three of his most outstanding ballet choreographies are presented: Divertimento No. 15 featuring music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Prodigal Son with music by Sergei Prokofiev; and Who Cares? with music by George Gershwin, adapted and orchestrated by Hershy Kay.
