Last seen at the Kennedy Center in 2008, the world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company returns with The EVE Project, March 5a?"7.  Created in celebration of the centennial of the 19th amendment this year, which gave American women the right to vote, The EVE Project is a collection of new commissions and signature Graham classics that make impactful statements about female power.

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company presents the second season of The EVE Projecta?"a program celebrating female empowerment and the centennial of the 19th Amendment this year. The New York City Center season features acclaimed classics from Graham's repertory alongside works by some of today's top choreographers, including a world premiere by Andrea Miller and recent commissions from Pam Tanowitz and Maxine Doyle and Bobbi Jene Smith. Prima ballerina Diana Vishneva will be a guest star at the gala evening dancing Graham's Deep Song. Music for all of the Graham classics will be played live by The Mannes Orchestra. Performances are Wednesday, April 22 at 7pm (Opening Night Gala), Thursdaya?"Friday, April 23a?"24 at 8pm, Saturday, April 25 at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday, April 26 at 2pm.

FACTORY THEATRE has announced the World Premiere of Marjorie Chan's LADY SUNRISE, directed by Factory's Artistic Director, Nina Lee Aquino. The play features a powerful ensemble of six Asian Canadian women, Belinda Corpuz, Ma-Anne Dionisio, Zoé Doyle, Rosie Simon, Lindsay Wu, and Louisa Zhu. Artist Georgia O'Keeffe, celebrated for her modernist paintings of flowers, and Patricia Highsmith, the prolific writer best known for such works as Strangers on a Train (1950) and The Talented Mr. Ripley (1955), have been added to New York City's LGBT historical narrative. The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, in partnership with SHOW- SCORE.COM, recently launched ALL NEW YORK'S A STAGE, the first-ever campaign dedicated to raising the visibility of our vibrant local theater industry, which is made up of small venues, companies and related organizations throughout the five boroughs.

The Women, a play by Clare Boothe Luce, is a comedy of manners that is a social commentary on the lives and power struggles of wealthy Manhattan socialites in 1936. The play has been performed on Broadway several times and had two movies based off of it, including a contemporary remake starring Meg Ryan, Eva Mendez, and Jada Pinkett Smith. According to the director, James Cady, The Women is, 'a play about men, told by women.' The play has a cast entirely made up of women and is about, 'love and what happens when you take it for granted and then lose it.'

Tupelo Community Theatre's 14th annual Haunted Theatre, A Night At The Lyric, will be presented October 18, 19, 25, 26 and 31st from 6 p.m. -11 p.m. at the Lyric Theatre in Downtown Tupelo.  Tickets are $15 each and are available at the door.  The 107 year old Lyric Theatre has a rich past as home  for our resident ghost Antione. 

The Martha Graham Dance Company's 2019–20 Studio Series opens with GrahamDeconstructed featuring Martha Graham's powerful Steps in the Street. GrahamDeconstructed will take place on Tuesday, September 24, and Wednesday, September 25, at 7pm, at the Martha Graham Studio Theater, 55 Bethune Street (11th Floor), in Manhattan.

Roundabout Theatre Company and Columbia University School of the Arts have announced the winners of Columbia@Roundabout's 2019 New Play Reading Series. As part of the collaborative partnership between Roundabout Theatre Company and Columbia University, the reading series awards three playwrights from the current MFA program and recent alumni with a cash prize as well as a reading in Roundabout's Rehearsal Hall, followed by a post-reading reception. Five finalists have also received cash prizes in recognition of their exceptional work. No other collaborative partnership in the New York area brings together an esteemed Ivy League MFA program with a Tony Award-winning, not-for-profit theatre. The reading series is made possible by a grant from The Tow Foundation.   

The Martha Graham Dance Company announces the 2019–20 season of its popular Studio Series, which offers audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the work of the Company in the intimate setting of the Martha Graham Studio Theater. The events in the Studio Series revolve around The EVE Project, the Company's season theme celebrating female empowerment and the 100th anniversary in 2020 of women's right to vote.

In 1936, producer David O. Selznick began a 2-year search to find an unknown to play Scarlett O'Hara in his soon-to-be film masterpiece Gone with the Wind. At this year's Hollywood Fringe Festival, Kick Boom Theater Company is re-telling the (mostly true) story in its inaugural production of the innovative and totally entertaining SCARLETT FEVER, created and directedchoreographed by John Wuchte, with original music by John Wuchte and award-winning composer Michael Teoli which adds percussive accompaniment as a perfect complement to Wuchte's signature Tribal Acting style.
