This summer, LEGALLY BLONDE the musical struts onto the Malkin Bowl stage for a summer of sparkle and show-stopping songs. Back by popular demand, the hit show makes its highly anticipated return as part of Theatre Under The Stars’ 2025 season, playing in repertory with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory from June 27 to August 16.

The University of Washington School of Drama has announced Dr. Scott Magelssen as its new Executive Director, effective July 1, 2025. Dr. Magelssen succeeds Professor Geoff Korf, who led the School from July 2020 to June 2025. Professor Korf will now serve as the School's Producing Associate Director, overseeing the production season and facilities.

The Board of Directors of the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts has elected David G. Lambert as Board Chair starting July 1, 2025. Mr. Lambert succeeds Sherry Barrat, who served as Board Chair for the past three years.

It’s so satisfying to see a musical that resonates emotionally with an audience, and Waitress is one of those musicals. From the writing to the performance, the entire audience was held rapt for the entire 2 1/2 hours, staying right with the performers as they traversed this well told story. There were gasps, applause, and exclamations of support, and a well deserved standing ovation at the end of it all. MTWichita told this story exceedingly well.

WAITRESS (book by Jessie Nelson, music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles) is based on the 2007 film of the same name. Jenna, who works at a diner baking pies and waitressing to make ends meet, feels like her life with her deadbeat husband is at a dead-end.
