Today, the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) kicks-off its 2nd Annual TRUE Love contest that honors family and caregivers for their tireless work in caring for their loved ones living with prostate cancer. TRUE is a tribute to the unsung heroes – whether they are spouses, partners, nurses, doctors, siblings, children or friends. The PCF will be accepting TRUE Love stories from all perspectives that reflect love, honor and care for prostate cancer patients throughout the month of February, when love is traditionally celebrated. The most inspirational story will be announced by the PCF on February 28th via social media, and the winner will receive a special care package from award-winning actress Kristen Bell.

This November at Teatro alla Scala, conductor Markus Stenz leads the world premiere of the highly-anticipated world premiere performance of Fin de Partie, the first and only opera by the beloved, visionary composer Gyorgy Kurtag, composed at the age of 91.  Based on the famous Samuel Beckett play, commonly performed in English as Endgame, the operatic version, to be sung in French, has been more than seven years in the making. At 450 pages, Fin de Partie is by far the largest score ever composed by the reputed "master of the miniature," who has for several decades maintained the desire of writing a musical treatment for the sparse, sardonically existential work. This production is staged by internationally-acclaimed artistic and theater director, Pierre Audi.

Today, the mental health nonprofit, To Write Love on Her Arms is announcing a charity-based collaboration with Insomniac, the team behind North America's largest dance music festival, Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), and the online fundraising platform Surreal. The study, the second annual of its kind commissioned by Nestl Waters North America, surveyed a total of 6,142 American consumers and experts on water-related topics.

Recently wrapping production in Caserta, Italy, the HBO, RAI FICTION and TIMVISION series MY BRILLIANT FRIEND debuts this fall. Monteverdi Choir and Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique led by Sir John Eliot Gardiner will stage a special one-off performance of Giuseppe Verdi's legendary Messa da Requiem at London's Westminster Cathedral on 18 September at 7.30pm. This unique concert will be in support of Cancer Research UK and dedicated to the memory of Richard Fitzgerald, Monteverdi Choir & Orchestras' long-standing stage manager who sadly passed away from lung cancer in August 2016.
