Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes will perform on Saturday, June 17, 2023,  Face 2 Face: Tribute to Elton John & Billy Joel perform on Friday, August 18, 2023, and George Thorogood & The Destroyers return to the Indian Ranch stage on Saturday, September 2, 2023.

Birdland Jazz Club will present Billy Gilman – the platinum-selling country music artist known for his run on NBC’s “The Voice” — in “A Billy Gilman Christmas” on Monday, December 5 at 7:00 PM.

Hagop’s debut album Bolts features ten tracks of hyper-personal rhythm music that mixes techno with field recordings of his travels through Armenian and Mediterranean culture. Early DJ support has come from Four Tet, Gilles Peterson and Nikki Nair. The artwork for Bolts was curated by skateboard, music and sports photography legend Atiba Jefferson.

California Shakespeare Theater has announced the full cast and creative team for LEAR, the world premiere modern verse translation of Williams Shakespeare’s King Lear by playwright and Oakland-native Marcus Gardley.

For Memorial Day Weekend 2022, artist, writer and activist John Sims will present AfroDixia: Journey To Justice in Austin, Texas. This multimedia happening is a part of a 20-year project that engages Confederate iconography, cultural politics of white supremacy and transformative healing, featuring the artist’s 7th annual Burn and Bury performance, film screening and Afro-Dixie Remixes. This series of events will be hosted by Austin Film Society, DadaLab and Red Salmon Arts/Resistencia Books, and co-sponsored by the Austin Justice Coalition and Six Square.

With only the two of themselves, they put together an eclectic evening of jazz-flavored tunes with Ms. McSweeney on bass and Ms. Huffman on vocals entitled IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR: SONGS INSPIRED BY A PANDEMIC. This coming Tuesday, February 22, Huffman and McSweeney will present a new and improved version of the show at The Green Room 42, with a few surprises for those who caught the show before.
