The Illusionists - Magic Of The Holidays, an all-new installment of the blockbuster world-famous touring magic spectacular, will play Broadway's Marquis Theatre (210 West 46th Street) from Friday, November 23 through Sunday, December 30, 2018.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is excited to announce the fifth show in its 20th Anniversary Season ... The Other Place. Written by Sharr White and directed by Matthew McCray, The Other Place will preview from September 21 through September 28; regular performances will begin September 29 and continue through October 21 at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center on the Fyda-Mar Stage.

The DC premiere of British playwright Lucy Kirkwood's urgent and unsettling eco-thriller The Children rounds out Studio Theatre's Main Series for its 40th Anniversary Season. Directed by Studio Artistic Director David Muse, The Children deepens his relationship with Kirkwood's work-he directed the DC premiere of her play Chimerica in 2015. Inspired in part by the 2011 Fukushima nuclear explosion in Japan, Kirkwood's disaster drama begins as an old love triangle flaring to life in the aftermath of a natural disaster and morphs into a disquieting look at the cataclysmic impact of human intervention in the natural world.

This year, a living legend of musical theatre turns 90: Lyricist-bookwriter Tom Jones (who also, under a stage name) appeared in the original company of his most famous and wildly successful record-breaking musical, The Fantasticks. His collaborator, composer Harvey Schmidt, just recently passed away. The production's record-breaking run closed, on January 13, 2002, after 17,162 performances. Their shows also include 110 in the Shade, I Do! I Do!, Philemon, Celebration and many more. And celebration is what it's about when Broadway veterans Carole Demas, who originated the role of Sandy in Grease, and Sarah Rice, who originated the role of Johanna in Sweeney Todd, return to celebrate Jones & Schmidt. Demas and Rice have based the show on their 50 years of work and personal relationships with Tom and Harvey. With very special guest Broadway's Hal Robinson who is also a Fantasticks alumni.

Peninsula Players Theatre, America's Oldest Professional Resident Summer Theatre, presents the regional premiere of "Living on Love," a new romantic comedy by two-time Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro, based on the play "Peccadillo" by Garson Kanin.  The delightful "Living on Love" opens at Door County's theatrical icon on Today, August 25 and performs through September 2 and is a glamorous, hilarious romp through the world of music, marriage, celebrity and love!

The Marsh Berkeley announces Dan Hoyle's hit solo show Each and Every Thing has been extended due to popular demand. Focusing on finding true connection and community in the digital age, Each and Every Thing made its East Bay premiere with newly-added post-election material last month, and was an instant hit with audiences and critics alike. Additional casting has been announced for the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Annie on Friday, July 27, at 8 PM, Saturday, July 28, at 8 PM and Sunday, July 29, at 7:30 PM. The new cast members are David Alan Grier as Daddy Warbucks and Steven Weber as Franklin Delano Roosevelt ('FDR'). Lightning Bolt Productions upcoming production of this acclaimed Broadway musical will run at the West Boca Performing Arts Center at West Boca High School* from June 8ththrough 17th.

The 72nd Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 10th at 8/9c hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. We can't help but wonder what chances this year's Best Musical and Best Play nominees have of taking home the ultimate prize...

Elevator Repair Service, "one of the city's few truly essential theater companies" (New York Times), is pleased to present the world premiere of Everyone's Fine With Virginia Woolf, a new play written by longtime company member Kate Scelsa and directed by Elevator Repair Service Artistic Director John Collins.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Anne Hathaway is set to star in the film adaptation of the Joan Didion novel, THE LAST THING HE WANTED. The film is set to release on Netflix. The film has Dee Rees (MUDBOUND) at the helm. Read more about the news from The Hollywood Reporter here!
