The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey continues its 56th season with its fourth Main Stage production, Buried Child. This will mark the first time the Theatre has presented a play by Sam Shepard, who passed away last year. Paul Mullins returns to direct. Veteran company member Sherman Howard leads a cast that features returning company members Anthony Marble and Carol Halstead, as well as Roger Clark, Paul Cooper, Michael Dale, and Andrea Morales, all of whom are making their STNJ debut. Performances begin September 19. Patrons can purchase tickets at The F.M. Seminal Nashville songwriter John Prine has released a new version of his song “How Lucky,” as part of the new Amazon Original “Produced By” series, only on Amazon Music. Following a sold-out engagement in 2015, Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and actress Melissa Manchester returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko with her new show, The Fellas, on Friday, October 5 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, October 6 (8 p.m.). More than 25 years after Melissa Manchester released "Tribute," her 1989 album that honored the great female singers who influenced her, she turns the tables with "The Fellas," a radiant new encomium to the men, including Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme, Tony Bennett, and Dean Martin, and the iconic songs they made famous. In this intimate evening, Manchester will salute the men (and ladies) of song, as well as perform several of her own classic hits.

Lifeline Theatre's KidSeries presents Bunnicula, a family musical based on the popular children's book by Deborah and James Howe, with adaptation and lyrics by Lifeline Theatre emeritus ensemble member James Sie, music by Doug Wood, and directed by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Anthony Kayer. At a showing of Dracula one dark and stormy night, the Monroe family discovers an abandoned rabbit. When they bring him home, resident know-it-all Chester the cat suspects the worst after spying gleaming fangs in the bunny's mouth. And as vegetables start turning up mysteriously drained of their juices, even easygoing Harold the dog wonders if they have a supernatural menace on their hands. Brave the night and dare to embrace our differences in this musical adaptation of the 1979 book by Deborah and James Howe. This production is recommended for children ages five and up (children under two not permitted), and runs approximately one hour with no intermission.

Cleveland Play House (CPH) kicks off its 2018-2019 Season with the spine tingling tale of Susan Hill's The Woman in Black. Hill's gothic ghost story, adapted for the stage by Stephen Mallatratt, will star Bradley Armacost as Arthur Kipps and Adam Wesley Brown as the Actor in the show that Daily Mail called, "A nerve-shredding experience." Director Robin Herford will recreate his original staging from the London West End. The American premiere of the West End Production is produced by PW Productions and Pemberley Productions. Previews begin on September 15th, with press opening on September 21st at the Allen Theatre in Playhouse Square.
