This new free exhibition at the National Theatre explores how designers use set models for theatre-making. Playing with Scale unfolds the idea of a scale model and explains the importance of models as a design tool. The exhibition features model boxes from productions at the NT, archive materials, films, audio and photography.

City Theatre (@citytheatremia) and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County (@arshtcenter) are proud to present WINTER SHORTS, America's Short Play Winter Festival. WINTER SHORTS, the festive version of City Theatre's renowned Summer Shorts: America's Short Play Festival, runs from December 6-23 in the Arsht Center's intimate Carnival Studio Theater (Ziff Ballet Opera House), under the direction of City Theatre Artistic Director Margaret M. Ledford.

Goodman Theatre adds to its 2018/2019 Season a limited engagement of St. Nicholas-an internationally-acclaimed major revival by London's Donmar Warehouse of Conor McPherson's 1997 intimate thriller, directed by Simon Evans. The monologue play stars Olivier Award-winning actor Brendan Coyle ("Mr. Bates" of the smash sensation Downton Abbey, for which he earned an Emmy Award nomination) in "a superlative, mesmerizing performance that's simply not to be missed" (The Arts Review). The U.S. premiere, which appears in the Goodman's 350-seat flexible Owen Theatre, follows two acclaimed recent appearances at the Donmar Warehouse and the Dublin Theatre Festival. The creative team includes Peter McKintosh (Set), Matt Daw (Lighting) and Christopher Shutt (Sound). Goodman Theatre's limited engagement of St. Nicholas appears January 9 - 27, 2019 in the Owen Theatre (170 N. Dearborn). Spring 2019 at Northern Stage features ambitious new productions made in Newcastle, alongside new shows from some of the UK's most exciting and innovative theatre companies and work made by and for children and young people. Plus comedy, dance and an eclectic programme in the intimate Stage 3 performance space.

Following their critically acclaimed production earlier this year with Bryony Lavery's adaptation of Graham Greene's Brighton Rock, Pilot Theatre will premiere in February 2019 Sabrina Mahfouz's exciting new adaptation of Malorie Blackman's critically acclaimed young adult novel of first love in a dangerous fictional dystopia - Noughts & Crosses.

According to Baz Bamigboye of the Daily Mail, Jenna Coleman, and Colin Morgan will join Academy Award-winner Sally Field and actor Bill Pullman on stage in Arthur Miller's modern classic All My Sons, in Headlong Theatre's production at the Old Vic Theatre.

Sally Field and Bill Pullman will star as Kate and Joe Keller in Arthur Miller's All My Sons, directed by Jeremy Herrin, in a co-production with Headlong Theatre at The Old Vic in Spring 2019. Further casting and dates are to be announced.

Zach Wyatt will star as Anthony alongside previously announced Maisie Williams as Caroline in the UK premiere of Lauren Gunderson's I and You, which will be directed by Artistic Director Edward Hall on the Main Stage. Richard Molloy's Every Day I Make Greatness Happen, winner of the Nick Darke Award in 2017, will receive its world premiere Downstairs in September, and will star Sofia Barclay, Moe Bar-El, Jon Foster, Susan Stanley and Josh Zare.

The Donmar Warehouse presents St Nicholas, a chilling one-man play by Conor McPherson, directed by Simon Evans and starring Brendan Coyle. This is the first time McPherson and Coyle have collaborated since The Weir, for which both received Olivier Awards. The performances will take place at the Donmar's intimate studio space at 3 Dryden Street from Monday 10 September - Friday 5 October 2018, and from Tuesday 9 October - Sunday 14 October 2018 at the Smock Alley Theatre, as part of Dublin Theatre Festival, which will be the play's Irish premiere. Tickets for London performances will be allocated via a ballot, which is open for entries by signing up to the Donmar's Newsletter or KLAXON email lists at donmarwarehouse.com.

The Lyric Hammersmith today announces that Sean Holmes will step down in October 2018, after almost a decade as Artistic Director and Joint Chief Executive. Sean joined the Lyric in January 2009.

Translations is currently in rehearsals at the National Theatre, ahead of its first major revival on the London stage. This not only marks actor Dermot Crowley's fourth time appearing in the play, but also over four decades of working at the National. Casting is announced today for James Graham's 'sparkling new play', Quiz, which transfers to the No l Coward Theatre. Following the success of Ink and Labour of Love, Quiz completes a hat-trick of productions in the West End for Graham in less than a year. Artistic Director of Chichester Festival Theatre, Daniel Evans, directs Keir Charles, Greg Haiste, Mark Meadows, Henry Pettigrew, Gavin Spokes, Stephanie Street, Jay Villiers, Lizzie Winkler and Sarah Woodward who reprise their roles from the run at Chichester Festival Theatre. They are joined by Sharon Ballard.

English Touring Theatre today announces additional tour dates of their production of Conor McPherson's Olivier Award-winning play The Weir, co-produced with Mercury Theatre Colchester.
