Irish Rep Announces 2018 Gala ALAN JAY LERNER: A CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION Featuring Jeremy Irons and More

Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director, and Ciarán O'Reilly, Producing Director) proudly presents Alan Jay Lerner: A CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION, this season's Gala Benefit production, on Monday, June 4th at 7 PM at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street, NYC). The evening will honor the extraordinary contributions of Irish Rep board member Tina Santi Flaherty, reflecting her many years of leadership support of the theatre.

Tony, Emmy, and Academy Award-winning actor Jeremy Irons (The Real Thing, Reversal of Fortune) will join a host of Broadway stars, a live orchestra, and a full chorus in unearthing rarely-heard gems and revisiting long-time favorites from Alan Jay Lerner's most celebrated musicals, including Brigadoon, Paint Your Wagon, Gigi, Camelot, and My Fair Lady, all written with Frederick Loewe, and a special preview of Irish Rep's upcoming revival of ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER, by Alan Jay Lerner and Burton Lane, as Tony-nominated actors Stephen Bogardus and Melissa Errico take the stage to perform selections from this highly anticipated show!

The Gala will feature performances by Jeremy Irons, Steven Bogardus (Bright Star), John Cudia (The Phantom of the Opera) Melissa Errico (Amour), Donna Kane (Meet Me in St. Louis), Maryann Plunkett (A Man for All Seasons), David Staller (Widowers' Houses) and special surprise guests!

The evening will be directed by Charlotte Moore and will have musical direction by John Bell. Single tickets start at $100 and are on sale now at www.IrishRep.org or by calling 212.727.2737.

IRISH REPERTORY THEATRE, co-founded by Producing Director Ciarán O'Reilly and Artistic Director Charlotte Moore, opened its doors in September 1988 with Sean O'Casey's The Plough and the Stars.
