The second installment of the American Tap Dance Foundation's First Friday Film Festival, Tap Ellington, will take place on Friday, November 4 at 8pm, in-studio at The American Tap Dance Center, 154 Christopher Street #2, and live streamed.

MUSE/IQUE will conclude its adventurous yearlong concert series, L.A. Composed: A Festival of Los Angeles Music. Each concert of L.A. Composed focusses on a different street and the music that is associated with it. Sunset on Sunset, a musical journey into the center of L.A.'s soul, will be performed Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13 at 7:30pm at historic Union Station.

The complete cast for the Broadway premiere of Ohio State Murders by Adrienne Kennedy is now announced. Joining Emmy, Grammy, and Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald, Tony Award nominee Bryce Pinkham, and Drama Desk nominee Lizan Mitchell.

Turner Classic Movies (TMC) will present a 12-film tribute to Angela Lansbury on November 21st. The 24-hour marathon will include some of her most memorable films including Gaslight and The Manchurian Candidate, as well as an airing of the 1982 filmed production of Sweeney Todd. Dame Angela Lansbury passed away on October 11, 2022, at the age of 96. 

The Sarah Siddons Society, celebrating its 70th anniversary year, will present its 2022 Award to three-time Tony Award nominee Sandy Duncan. The annual Award is presented to an individual who has achieved outstanding artistic achievement in theatre.

The Broadway community will honor the memory of Dame Angela Lansbury, the six-time Tony Award-winning actress. Ms. Lansbury passed away on October 11, 2022, at the age of 96.

Broadway's MiG Ayesa (Burn the Floor, Rock of Ages) stars in Choices: A Rock Opera, an electrifying new musical with an original Rock score by John Krupa about a driven but naïve lead singer of a 1980's spandex-wearing, hairspray Rock band.

It’s astounding, time is fleeting, madness takes its toll. . .no it’s the opening weekend of Padgett Productions THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. The cult musical, which has become a Kansas City favorite, has been ushering in the Halloween season for several years. I have been in the audience at least once (most years twice) each season and am glad to report it gets better every year. I don’t know if it is the witches and goblins of Halloween or the creative genius of Nick Padgett the Artistic Director that makes it unique each year, but it is the time of year for magic.

Philadelphia Artists’ Collective (PAC) will launch their 12th season with a production of Wine in the Wilderness by Alice Childress, performed at Poth Brewery. Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan, the first production of Paper Mill’s 2022-2023 season. The production will feature Linedy Genao (On Your Feet! on Broadway) as Gloria, and Brandon Espinoza (Broadway’s SpongeBob SquarePants) as Emilio.
