???????The King's Head Theatre today announces a new production of Paul Boakye's Boy with Beer, directed by Harry Mackrill, 25 years after the original production at the Man in the Moon Theatre.  Enyi Okoronkwo plays Donovan and Chin Nyenwe plays Karl in the production, which also features new music from Taurean Antoine Chagar, regular collaborator of acclaimed drum and bass group Rudimental.  It opens at the King's Head Theatre, on 11 November, with previews from 8 November, running until 26 November.

Opening their 49th Season with the enchanting storybook tale THE SECRET GARDEN, Theatre Under the Stars has welcomed Dan Knechtges as Artistic Director to take over the season that predecessor Sheldon Epps put in place. The musical, directed and choreographed by 5th Avenue Theatre's Artistic Director David Armstrong is based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's fairytale classic and a book by Marsha Norman, infused with music by Lucy Simon. As part of a pre-Broadway co-production, this Tony Award winning musical will be undergoing refinements made by Armstrong and his creative team.

Waking up to realise life has lost its twinkle, St John Cowcher takes the audience on a lunar tide (that just happens to house a sultry New York jazz band) on a journey through all reasons why life has lost its twinkle.

The Geffen Playhouse presents Independent Shakespeare Co.'s production of A Christmas Carol with Charles Dickens, featuring David Melville as Charles Dickens, adapted by David Melville and Melissa Chalsma and directed by Melissa Chalsma. His greatest successes on the stages of Britain and the United States were his solo performances of his own work. The Globe is happy to announce that the Globe for All Tour will continue to bring shows to the community in 2018, with support provided by Theatre Forward's Advancing Strong Theatre grant program. Following the Globe engagement of Karen Zacarias's hilarious comedy directed by Edward Torres, Native Gardens will travel June 28 through July 1 to four of our community partner venues for free performances in South Bay, Lemon Grove, Otay Mesa, and Oceanside. Developed in the 2017 Powers New Voices Festival, it runs through June 24 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, and then hits the road!
