GRoW @ The Wallis will present The Wallis Studio Ensemble production of Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare Friday, November 25 through, Sunday December 4, 2022, at the Hudson Theatres’ Backstage Theatre in Los Angeles.

This winter, from December 8–27, San Francisco Ballet will return to the stage with thirty-three performances of Helgi Tomasson’s Nutcracker, a Bay Area tradition of the past eighteen years.

The Orion Ensemble, with guest violist Stephen Boe, continues its 29th season with performances featuring works by Beethoven, Hindemith, Price and Schubert at three venues: New England Congregational Church in Aurora (Nov. 7, followed by a wine and cheese benefit), PianoForte Studios in Chicago (Nov. 10) and a new venue, Lake Street Church in Evanston (Nov. 14). The Chicago and Evanston performances also will be available via livestream.

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are kicking off 2020 with the release of their first original new music since 2018, a nod to their emo roots called “A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Called LA.” . The track will be available on all major streaming services on Friday, Jan. 31st and is the first song off their forthcoming The Emergency EP, to be released later this year.  The band has also announced a spring headlining tour, and several dates in Australia with Boys Like Girls (see below).

Jacob's Pillow announces public events held January through May in its Winter/Spring season, featuring co-presentations with local cultural partners; Pillow Parties; workshops and classes; Pillow Pop-Ups; and more. San Francisco Ballet Board of Trustees has named Kelly Tweeddale as the organization's next Executive Director. The search committee, led by Chair of the SF Ballet Board of Trustees Carl F. Pascarella, made the unanimous recommendation to the Board after a five-month international search. Tweeddale has held previous executive positions at Seattle Opera and currently serves as President of Vancouver Symphony and VSO School of Music. Kelly Tweeddale assumes her new role at San Francisco Ballet on September 3, 2019.
