Gary Schweikhart, board president of the Carbonell Awards, South Florida's Theatre & Arts Honors, has announced the three young winners of the 2023 Jack Zink Memorial Student Scholarships.

ETT (English Touring Theatre) has announced their new production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and further programming for 2023.

Walnut Street Theatre is continuing its 214th season with a Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece in Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. The production begins previews February 14, opens February 22, and continues through March 12, 2023, on the Walnut’s Mainstage.

When the theater's 2021 season comes to a close, Artistic Director Greg Vinkler will step down from administrative duties and retire. Linda Fortunato, a dedicated company member of 17 seasons at Peninsula Players, has been appointed associate artistic director and will work alongside Vinkler throughout the 2021 season.

La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for its world-premiere production of Put Your House in Order, by acclaimed Chicago playwright Ike Holter (Lottery Day), directed by Lili-Anne Brown. The show kicks off the Playhouse's 2019/2020 season, running in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Forum June 2 - 30.

Actors Co-op Theatre Company (Ovation Award-Winner 2017 Best Play, Intimate Theatre for 33 Variations) presents the first show in its 27th Season with the thriller ROPE, written by Patrick Hamilton, directed by Ken Sawyer, produced by Kevin Shewey.  ROPE will preview on Thursday, September 20 at 8pm and will open Friday, September 21 at 8pm and run through Sunday, October 29 at the Actors Co-op Crossley Theatre, 1760 N. The Artistic Home has announced a summer production of Jean Genet's THE MAIDS. Genet's subversive drama in which two maids fantasize killing their mistress was inspired by a real-life murder committed by two sisters working as maids who killed their employer and her daughter.  In the play, the maids construct elaborate sadomasochistic rituals when their mistress (Madame) is away. The focus of their role-playing is the murder of Madame and they take turns portraying both sides of the power divide.

Following a sell-out season at the Abbey Theatre as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the 1916 Easter Rising, as well as a successful Irish and US tour, The Plough and the Stars comes to the Lyric Hammersmith as a co-production with the Abbey Theatre.

The Old Vic today gives a sneak preview of what's to come in 2018 at The Old Vic during its bicentenary. The Divide, a new play by Alan Ayckbourn, will open at The Old Vic on 3 February 2018 with previews from 30 January 2018, following its premiere at the Edinburgh International Festival this summer.

Dead Writers Theatre Collective opens its 2016 season with a clear look back at the Oscar Wilde classic, The Importance of Being Earnest. It opens July 1 at The Athenaeum Theatre.
