Segerstrom Center For The Arts Announces World Premiere Of American Ballet Theatre's OF LOVE AND RAGE

Segerstrom Center for the Arts proudly presents the World Premiere of American Ballet Theatre's Of Love and Rage, a new work choreographed by ABT Artist-in-Residence and MacArthur Genius Alexei Ratmansky. Sets and costumes are by award-winning designer Jean-Marc Puissant, with lighting by designer Duane Schuler. Inspired from the first century Greek novel, Callirhoe, the libretto for Of Love and Rage was adapted by actor, director, screenwriter and Molière Award winner Guillaume Gallienne. The ballet is set to music by Aram Khachaturian with arrangements by Philip Feeney and performed live by Pacific Symphony. There will be five performances: March 5 a?" 8, 2020 in Segerstrom Hall. The ballet will have its New York Premiere during ABT's 2020 Metropolitan Opera House season June 2 a?" 6.

2020 Johnny Mercer Writers Colony At Goodspeed Participants Announced

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 40 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2020 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 15 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

Magnet Theater Announces Lineup For 11th Annual New York Musical Improv Festival

The Airborne Toxic Event Announce 2020 Headlining Dates

The Airborne Toxic Event has announced North American tour dates in support of their landmark new album. The tour starts May 27 at Van Buren in Phoenix, AZ and ends with a very special performance with the SF Symphony at Davies Hall on August 1. The Los Angeles-based band's sixth LP and first new music in half a decade, HOLLYWOOD PARK is out Friday, May 8 via Rounder Records. Coming off the incredibly strong performance of its “31 Nights of Halloween” programming, Freeform kicks the holidays into high gear with the announcement of the beloved “25 Days of Christmas” lineup beginning on DEC. 1. As the go-to network for holiday-themed original content and beloved classics, this year's festive lineup includes the premieres of Freeform original feature “Ghosting: The Spirit of Christmas,” with “The Bold Type” star Aisha Dee and “The Guest Book”'s Kimiko Glenn, airing WEDNESDAY, DEC. 4, at 9:00 p.m. EST/PST. “Good Trouble” will air a two-hour holiday episode on MONDAY, DEC. 16, at 9:00 p.m. EST/PST, with the full cast of “The Fosters” guest starring. Additionally, the network will debut the timeless Christmas classics of Rankin-Bass with “Frosty the Snowman” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” on FRIDAY, DEC. 6, at 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. EST/PST, respectively. CMA Songwriters Series Announces Portland Performance

The Country Music Association's acclaimed CMA Songwriters Series Presented by   U.S. Bank has announced a performance in Portland, OR at Aladdin Theater Sunday, Dec. 8 featuring top tunesmiths Marcus Hummon, Lori McKenna, Lee Thomas Miller and Tenille Townes. The series hosts an intimate round of performances with some of Country Music's hottest songwriters taking turns sharing the stories behind their hit songs and performing them as originally written. Tickets for the performance are $20 (plus fees) and go on sale Friday, Nov. 1 at 12:00 PM/CT (10:00 AM/PT) through Aladdin Theater and CMAsongwritersseries.com. $1 of each ticket sold will benefit the CMA Foundation, CMA's philanthropic arm, which is committed to investing in high quality music education programs for all students in the United States.
