Back by popular demand, the two-time-Tony Award winning Broadway legend, Chita Rivera, returns to Feinstein's/54 Below in her acclaimed solo concert for eight performances next week: January 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19 at 7PM. There is a $85 cover charge, and a $25 food and beverage minimum. Premium seating is available for $140-145.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Metamorphoses. This co-production with the Guthrie Theater is led by nationally and internationally renowned writer and director Mary Zimmerman.

After his hit production of King Charles III, David Muse returns to Shakespeare Theatre Company to direct Shakespeare's Richard the Third, a mesmerizing chronicle of the megalomaniac's rampage to the throne. The production will play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from February 5-March 10, 2019.

Audiences at The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre will once again have the chance to see some of their favorite characters come to life on the stage as the theatre sets sail for laughter as it presents the area premiere of Gilligan's Island - The Musical.

Legendary Broadway icon and Tony Award-winner Chita Rivera will headline the Garden Theatre's annual Encore celebration on March 9, 2019. Ms. Rivera will perform her signature songs and share behind-the-scenes stories from her illustrious career. Corporate sponsorship packages are available now for the Garden's benefit gala. In 2015, The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre added a new holiday production to its Children's Theatre collection with the world premiere of its original musical comedy The Great Elf Adventure. Over the years, many adaptations of holiday stories have appeared on the WOB stage including Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree, Frosty the Snowman, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, and Clara and the Nutcracker Prince. The Great Elf Adventure is based on one of the most popular characters to appear at the theatre, Jingles the Elf.

Moonlight Presents offers two holiday events in December at the Moonlight Amphitheatre. The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, Frederick's only year-round producing theatre, is not only in the midst of it 25th Silver Anniversary Season but it is planning to celebrate its 25th Christmas show with the brand new musical Silver Bells.

This year, a living legend of musical theatre turns 90: Lyricist-bookwriter Tom Jones (who also, under a stage name) appeared in the original company of his most famous and wildly successful record-breaking musical, The Fantasticks. His collaborator, composer Harvey Schmidt, just recently passed away. The production's record-breaking run closed, on January 13, 2002, after 17,162 performances. Their shows also include 110 in the Shade, I Do! I Do!, Philemon, Celebration and many more. And celebration is what it's about when Broadway veterans Carole Demas, who originated the role of Sandy in Grease, and Sarah Rice, who originated the role of Johanna in Sweeney Todd, return to celebrate Jones & Schmidt. Demas and Rice have based the show on their 50 years of work and personal relationships with Tom and Harvey. With very special guest Broadway's Hal Robinson who is also a Fantasticks alumni.

Josie Lawrence and Joe McGann lead the cast in the first UK production of American literary icon Don DeLillo's Love-Lies-Bleeding. The Print Room rounds off a year of bold and innovative theatre, dance, poetry and film with this perceptive and surprisingly witty story about a family trying to take death into their own hands.

On November 1, 2018, The New York Landmarks Conservancy will host its 25th Living Landmarks Celebration at The Plaza.  In addition to Chita Rivera, this year's honorees are Stephen S. Lash, Lynden B. Miller, Liz & Jeffrey Peek, Thomas Sculco MD, Ruth Lande Shuman, Michael I. Sovern and Peter Stangl.  The host for the evening is Living Landmark David Patrick Columbia, and music will be provided by Living Landmark Peter Duchin and his Orchestra.  Living Landmarks Arie L. Kopelman and Leonard Lauder are Honorary Co-Chairs for the evening.  More than 500 guests are expected to attend this 25th annual tribute.
