On World Refugee Day, public television's WORLD Channel announced the lineup of films for season 3 of Doc World, a series that showcases stories that dive deep into the heart of international issues, giving viewers a chance to understand the lives and concerns of people beyond U.S. borders. The first three films of the season, kicking off Sunday, September 9, entitled: Sky and Ground, Los Comandos, and Towards the North, all follow refugees fleeing their homes in search of asylum.

Casting Announced For Transport Group's World Premiere Of New Musical RENASCENCE

Transport Group has announced casting for its world premiere musical, Renascence, which begins performances Friday, October 5 at 7:30pm, at the Abrons Arts Center, 466 Grand Street. Renascence has music by Carmel Dean (musical director If/Then, American Idiot), book by Dick Scanlan (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Everyday Rapture), and lyrics from the poems of Edna St. Vincent Millay. The musical is directed by artistic director Jack Cummings III and Dick Scanlan. The opening is set for Thursday, October 25 at 7:30pm.

The Marsh San Francisco presents Irma Herrera's solo show Why Would I Mispronounce My Own Name?, a new work that weaves history and comedic insights into stories about names, shedding light and throwing shade on societal prejudices and assumptions. When giving her name its correct Spanish pronunciation, she often gets the "where are you from?" question. The assumption: that she is a foreigner. Irma's family has been in South Texas for generations, and the award-winning social justice activist, lawyer, and journalist thinks of herself as American as apple pie. Irma's notes from American history and laugh out-loud humor invite audience members to consider what it will take for everyone to get along. Post-show talkbacks, featuring experts in everything from civil liberties to laws related to baby naming, will be offered throughout the run.

NBC Sports' live Premier League coverage continues this week, highlighted by Liverpool hosting Brighton & Hove Albion this Saturday, August 25, at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Universo. Liverpool hosted Brighton in the final match of last season, when Mohamed Salah broke the record for the most goals in a 38-game Premier League season (32 goals) and claimed the league's Golden Boot award. Brighton & Hove Albion come off a 3-2 win over Premier League powers Manchester United, with all three goals scored in the first half, while the Reds come off a 2-0 win at Crystal Palace.

Amazon Prime Video today announced the second season of its Prime Original series Goliath, starring Golden Globe winner Billy Bob Thornton, will return today, June 15. Thornton will reprise his role as Billy McBride who, after winning a huge verdict in the Borns Tech case, is reluctantly pulled back into the law when his friend's 16-year-old son is arrested for a double homicide. However, as Billy, Patty (Nina Arianda, Florence Foster Jenkins) and the team start to investigate what appears to be an open and shut murder case, they begin to untangle a deadly conspiracy in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles, where drugs, real estate and politics intermingle. Once again, Billy finds himself facing a new Goliath, one that is as formidable as the city's mayoral race and as tall as the skyline itself. Thornton won the 2017 Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series for Goliath's first season.
