New York City Opera will celebrate the holidays with All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 at Sacred Heart University Community Theatre, presented in association with Bodhi Tree Concerts and with the support of Kings Alley.

George Bailey, Clarence, and the Bedford Falls community will come to life at Portland Center Stage this holiday season, in a fresh, inventive reimagining of the beloved holiday story. It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play will begin preview performances on November 19, open on November 25, and run through December 24 on the U.S. Bank Main Stage. Tickets are on sale now.

Hong Kong Ballet will present the U.S. Premiere of Romeo + Juliet on Friday, January 13 at 8pm and Saturday, January 14 at 2pm at New York City Center, 131 W. 55th Street.

Pitlochry Festival Theatre will be taking audiences on a magical journey to Neverland when it premieres Peter Pan and Wendy, a magical new adaptation of J.M. Barrie classic novel Peter Pan over the festive season. 

On Friday, November 11, 2022, acclaimed pianist Orion Weiss will release his new album, Arc II: Ravel, Brahms, Shostakovich, on First Hand Records.

San Jose Stage Company has announced new dates for the final production of its 39th Season, Sam Shepard’s rarely produced THE TOOTH OF CRIME.  Due to an unfortunate COVID-19 outbreak within the company, THE TOOTH OF CRIME will now run from August 3 – 21, 2022 at San Jose Stage Company (490 South 1st Street, San Jose, CA, 95113).

'Noor Inayat Khan: The Forgotten Spy' will premiere at the 2022 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Created by and starring Indian-Thai actress and writer Almanya Narula, the solo show is backed by an all-female South Asian production team.

In a statement released by the official show, Broadway's The Skin Of Our Teeth has cancelled its matinee performance for today, May 14th at 2pm. It reads, 'Due to illness, the following performance of The Skin of Our Teeth has been CANCELLED: Saturday, May 14 at 2pm. The next scheduled performance is tonight, Saturday, May 14 at 8pm. All tickets will be fully refunded at the point of purchase.' 

As the temperatures rise, the flowers bloom, and the days grow longer, we look forward to several exciting events that come with the beginning of Spring. In the case of the theatre community, theatre practitioners and fans alike are thrilled with the vast array of shows that are beginning their run on Broadway. Both theatre enthusiasts and critics alike flock to new shows, hoping to view an exciting production they will always remember. In turn, the actors, crew and creatives involved with these shows work tirelessly to open a production that will engage audiences and give themselves a sense of accomplishment. Although no shows opened during the Spring of 2021 due to the pandemic, April has already demonstrated that Broadway is back again with the opening of ten new productions! For those who have not been able to witness these productions yet, here is a quick recap of Broadway’s April 2022 openings.

Lincoln Center Theater's production of Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic The Skin of Our Teeth, opened just last night at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. The production coincides with the 125th anniversary of Mr. Wilder's birth and also marks the Beaumont and Broadway debuts of LCT Resident Director Lileana Blain-Cruz.
