Beck Center has a sterling reputation of cultivating talented performers who go on to success in hit Broadway shows and associated tours. Some of the theatre's alums will perform in a virtual engagement which runs March 5 to March 28, 2021, as part of Beck Center for the Arts' 87th Professional Theater Season.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center has announced its Winter 2021 Digital Season, with 26 new digital offerings, available for free, from January 14 to March 26, 2021.  CMS introduces a new online schedule in January, with concerts premiering Thursday evenings and educational and conversational programs premiering on Monday evenings.

Free digital tickets are now available for The Anonymous Lover which premieres online Saturday, November 14, at 5 PM Pacific Time. The Anonymous Lover is a 1780 comic romance by pioneering Black composer Joseph Bologne, known as the Chevalier de Saint-Georges. Conducted by Music Director James Conlon and directed by Bruce Lemon, Jr.

 The Discovery Orchestra, whose teaching concerts have introduced classical music to millions across the nation, has just won two Telly Awards for its latest program Discover the Firebird, an interactive exploration of Igor Stravinsky's iconic Firebird Suite. Led by Founder and Artistic Director George Marriner Maull, The Orchestra has been honored with a Silver Award for Television: General Education and a Bronze Award for Television: General Cultural for the one-hour program airing now on public television stations across the U.S., bringing its total to nine Tellys since 2011. The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens.

Conductor André Raphel conducts the Boston Symphony Orchestra in his BSO subscription series debut on Thursday, March 19, at 8pm; continuing on Friday, March 20, at 8pm (this concert is presented as part of the BSO's Casual Fridays); and Saturday, March 21 at 8pm. State Theatre New Jersey and WillJam Productions present the Golden Oldies Spectacular on Saturday, March 21, 2020, 7pm. The Golden Oldies features Jay and the Americans, BJ Thomas, Lou Christie, Dennis Tufano, and the 1910 Fruitgum Company. Tickets range from $35-$85.

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) and Music Director Jaap van Zweden will perform two a?oeTentha?? symphonies: Mahler's Symphony no. 10 and Shostakovich's Symphony no. 10. Both were written during a time of emotional turmoil for their composers, resulting in two powerful and emotionally charged symphonies. CMS continues its 50th anniversary celebration with its annual holiday Baroque festival throughout the month of December. Bach's a?oeGoldberga?? Variations, composed near the end of his life, will be performed on December 3rd by Jeffrey Kahane, one of a handful of masters of this work. Kahane will begin the performance with remarks on this monumental piece, which is an immersive experience during which the listener journeys through time and space. The next day, Kahane will give a free master class on solo piano works by Bach and other composers (December 4th).

Featuring full orchestra, and soloists Laquita Mitchell (soprano) and Donovan Singletary (baritone), the program is centered around the original 1893 version of Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, the composer's masterpiece. Complementing the Requiem is Ich lasse dich nicht, a motet attributed to J.S. Bach, William Schuman's evocative Prelude for Voices, and the a?oeKyriea?? from Louis Vierne's Messe solennelle.

Dance Theatre of Harlem celebrates 50 years of dance at Jacob's Pillow and commemorates the legacy of their late co-founder Arthur Mitchell in the Ted Shawn Theatre, July 10-14. Founding member and principal dancer Virginia Johnson now leads the multi-ethnic ballet company known for their innovative repertoire, acclaimed as "classy, earnest, and potent" (LA Times). Harlem One Stop today announced a free special Memorial Day Weekend concert by The 369th Experience in celebration of the Harlem Renaissance Centennial and the Harlem Hell Fighters. The ensemble will perform a program of music by ragtime and early jazz bandleader James Reese Europe. The free outdoor performance will be presented from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25 at Marcus Garvey Park (Mt. Morris Park West between East 120th-124th Streets) in Harlem.
