Joel de la Fuente (Amazon's 'The Man in the High Castle,' 'Hemlock Grove') made a triumphant return to the New York stage in his Drama Desk nominated role as Gordon Hirabayashi and 30 other characters in Jeanne Sakata's Hold These Truths, which opened on December 7 and is currently playing a limited run through December 20 at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street at the corner of Elizabeth Street). Following select performances of Jeanne Sakata's Hold These Truths, directed by Lisa Rothe and starring Joel de la Fuente (Amazon's The Man in the High Castle), Hang a Tale Theater Company will welcome a diverse panel of guests to discuss the history of forced Japanese internment during WWII and the parallels to our current time, when Muslims and other minorities are again fighting to preserve their civil liberties.

Stefanie Nelson is the Artistic Director of Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup, a New York City-based contemporary performance ensemble. Her work distills deeply personal ideas into highly kinetic, expressive, and provocative works that are rooted in cross-media collaboration with artists working in music, video, and visual arts. Described as 'instinctual, untamed, and edgy,' Nelson's dances have been presented at some of the foremost contemporary performance venues in the United States, including Joyce SoHo, Dance Theater Workshop, LaMama Moves!, Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, and Jacob's Pillow, and internationally in Canada, Mexico, and Italy, among others. Nelson is an accomplished teacher as well as the founder and artistic director of DANCE ITALIA, an annual summer dance intensive held in the cities of Agropoli and Lucca, Italy. She recently served as a Choreography panelist for New York Foundation for the Arts Artists' Fellowships and curated a series How high is the ceiling in my glass castle? Elvis Perkins has announced the release of a new single, 'There Go The Nightmericans,' performed with Sam Cohen (who also produced) and Josh Kaufman. The track is backed by 'Clockwork,' originally released by Sam Cohen as part of Dave Eggers' '30 Songs, 30 Days' playlist of songs written and recorded by musicians for a Trump-free America during the month leading up to the 2016 presidential election.
