CBC and SundanceTV today announced casting for the dramatic eight-part miniseries UNSPEAKABLE, which chronicles the tainted blood scandal beginning in the 1980's. Acclaimed actors Sarah Wayne Callies (Colony, The Walking Dead), Shawn Doyle (Bellevue, Big Love), Michael Shanks (Stargate SG-1, Saving Hope) and Camille Sullivan (The Disappearance, The Man in the High Castle) will lead the series. The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents Bedlam, the acclaimed New York based theatre company, with a fresh kinetic look at two plays with four actors, playing 49 characters in William Shakespeare and George Bernard Shaw's most famous creations, side by side, Hamlet and Saint Joan, in repertory April 5 to 15 at The Broad Stage. This engagement will be the company's West-Coast debut.

Christine Goerke, “the reigning Amercian dramatic soprano of the day” (The New York Times), makes her first Met performances in the title role of Richard Strauss's tragedy Elektra at the Met. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts Patrice Chéreau's acclaimed staging, with Elza van den Heever as Elektra's sister, Chrysothemis, and Michaela Schuster as her mother, Klytämnestra. Jay Hunter Morris sings the role of Aegisth, Klytämnestra's lover, and Mikhail Petrenko performs as Elektra's long-lost brother Orest. The production runs for six performances from March 1 through March 23, 2018.

NOTHING - THE MOD MUSICAL stars Carol Harrison as Kay Marriott and Chris Simmons as Steve Marriott, as well as Samuel Pope as Young Steve Marriott, Stefan Edwards as Kenney Jones, Stanton Wright as Ronnie Lane, Alexander Gold as Ian McLagan, Edward Elgood as Jimmy Winston, Karis Anderson as P.P. Johnson the 2018 P73 Playwriting Fellow. Selected from over 400 applicants, Johnson will receive a $10,000 award and additional $10,000 budgeted for developing several new plays over the course of the year.
