Sweat closes today, June 25th. Before we say farewell, take a final look at the show's journey on Broadway. 

It has just been reported that Sweat, the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Lynn Nottage, directed by Kate Whoriskey, will close on Sunday, June 25.

After making her Broadway debut in 2000's Proof, Johanna Day earned her first Tony nomination for her performance as Claire. Now sixteen years later, she's back in her second Tony-nominated role- Tracey in Sweat. Below, watch as tells Richard Ridge why she's ready for it this time around!

This week the 2017 New York Emmy Award-winning interview/discussion series THEATER TALK focuses on Broadway's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Sweat. Today, the acclaimed Broadway play Sweat, announced #WeAreSweat, a campaign celebrating the power and sense of community that Lynn Nottage's Pulitzer Prize-winning play inspires in audiences.

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize administrator Mike Pride that Lynn Nottage's SWEAT has officially won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. 

Following its acclaimed run off-Broadway at the Public Theater, Sweat has at last arrived at Studio 54, marking the Broadway debut of Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Lynn Nottage. After the curtain went down last night, the ensemble company, joined by Nottage and director Kate Whoriskey,  gathered at Brasserie 8 ½ to celebrate the play's explosive arrival on Broadway.
