Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Chicago Urban League have announced EmpowerYouth! Igniting Creativity through the Arts, a groundbreaking, multiyear partnership.

Under the auspices of Gale A. Brewer, Manhattan Borough President, and Daniel Herman, Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic, Rehearsal for Truth is a unique festival presenting the best in Central European theater. 

Last summer, a group form the Ohio Humanities Council visited Piqua to consider it as one of their Ohio Chautauqua sites for 2017.  Unfortunately, they were not selected, but they did encourage the group to develop their own Chautauqua event.  Well, give folks from Piqua a challenge and they deliver.  So a dedicated committee officially began working on Piqua Chautauqua! The dates for this event will be September 19, 20 & 21, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. and will take place at Hance Pavilion, located in Fountain Park in Piqua.

Haven Theatre is pleased to announce the final production slated for its 2017-18 Season, Bertolt Brecht's unsettling and unflinching drama FEAR AND MISERY OF THE THIRD REICH, translated by Eric Bentley and directed by Artistic Director Josh Sobel, playing February 8 March 11, 2018. Casting will be announced at a later date.

Choral music that explores the dual themes of death and celebration comprise a spirited program for the Los Angeles Master Chorale's first-ever D a de los Muertos concert on Sunday, October 29 at 7 PM in Walt Disney Concert Hall. Sharon Playhouse has announced complete casting for its 2017 Season. The season kicks off with MINOR CHARACTER: SIX TRANSLATIONS OF UNCLE VANYA, created by New Saloon (Morgan Green, Madeline Wise, and Milo Cramer), followed by FAR AWAY by Caryl Churchill (Love and Information).
