WWFM The Classical Network to Air New Jersey Symphony Concerts

In a new partnership, WWFM The Classical Network will air New Jersey Symphony Orchestra concert broadcasts on Friday, March 31; Thursday, April 27; and Friday, June 2. Each broadcast airs at 8 pm on 89.1 FM and streams simultaneously online at www.wwfm.org. The programs will feature music by Tchaikovsky, Haydn, Strauss and more in performances led by Music Director Xian Zhang, recorded live at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. Webcasts will become available for on-demand listening on the NJSO and WWFM websites.

Irresistible Comedy BAD DATES to Complete Huntington's 2017-2018 Season

The 15th anniversary production of Theresa Rebeck's irresistible comedy Bad Dates will complete the Huntington Theatre Company's 2017-2018 season. Bad Dates will be directed by Huntington favorite Jessica Stone (This season's Ripcord and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike at the Huntington), and the play joins the previously announced seven titles in the 2017-2018 season.

Three Rooms Press presents MAY DAY 2: PUNK ALL STARS

Three Rooms Press presents a one night only event: PUNK ALL-STARS, the NYC book launch for "PUNK AVENUE: Inside the New York City Underground 1972-1982," a memoir by NYC punk scene insider Phil Marcade. The event will feature live performances by Phil Marcade (The Senders) backed by The Rousers + Friends including Steve Shevlin, Barry Ryan, Danny Ray, JF Vergel, as well as performances by The Waldos (feat. Walter Lure from The Heartbreakers), Lenny Kaye, Andy Shernoff (The Dictators), Lynne Von, Daddy Long Legs, plus a conversation with Marcade and Legs McNeil (author of punk oral history Please Kill Me), along with a slew of very special guests. Copies of PUNK AVENUE will be available for purchase and signing at the event.

Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal Announces New Season

What is the importance of classical music in today's world? This is a concern of Kent Nagano's, in his 12th year at the helm of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. And that question is at the source of the programming offered by the OSM for its 2017-2018 season, with the 375th anniversary of the city of Montréal well under way. Each week, Maison symphonique will resound to the sound of the Orchestra, with over 100 concerts being presented there.
