Considered to be the 1st Straight Edge branded band, SSD formed in Boston in 1981. The band gained notoriety within the local music scene for their performances and the provocative antics of their group of followers, the Boston Crew. The original lineup was Al Barile on guitar, Springa on vocals, Jaime Sciarappa on bass and Chris Foley on drums. 

The American Theatre Guild, the largest not-for-profit touring Broadway presenter in the nation, is thrilled to announce that LEGALLY BLONDE - THE MUSICAL will join the 2022-2023 Broadway At The Buddy Holly Hall Series alongside the Add-On productions of THE SIMON & GARFUNKEL STORY and CIRQUE DREAMS HOLIDAZE.

The Off Broadway Alliance, an organization of Off-Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents, and marketing professionals, has announced the nominees for the 11th Annual Off-Broadway Alliance Awards, honoring commercial and not-for-profit productions that opened Off Broadway during the 2021-2022 season. 

But this album also dazzles with its stylistically promiscuous range, from the crowd rousing “We Will Rock You,” the tongue in cheek “Fat Bottom Girls,” the stomp-stomp-stomp late 70’s disco inspired “Another One Bites the Dust,” to the jukebox retro-rock homage “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and the gospel-fired “Somebody To Love.”

Yale Repertory Theatre has announced its 2022–23 season of four plays. The season will begin with Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, running October 6–29. James Bundy, who directed Albee’s A Delicate Balance at Yale Rep in 2010, will stage this new production of the explosively comedic and harrowingly profound masterpiece. 

Starlight will present the Kansas City premiere of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s OKLAHOMA! at Starlight Theatre from May 13-15.

Porchlight Music Theatre has announced the current roster of music theatre and cabaret talent performing in this year’s annual Chicago Sings fundraising concert, Chicago Sings Stephen Sondheim, Monday, May 23, at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

In May, New Conservatory Theatre Center closes out their triumphant 40th Anniversary season with Encore. Featuring a cast of Bay Area favorites, this musical medley travels through NCTC's 40 years of living out loud - both on and off stage.

Antrim Playhouse, Rockland County's longest running community theatre will present the Tony Award-winning musical, FALSETTOS. Performances will be held Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm from March 25th to April 10th.
