Artists Rep's Artistic Director and Interim Managing Director Damaso Rodriguez announces the line-up for Artists Rep's 36th Anniversary Season that includes seven compelling contemporary plays for their subscription series, along with two limited engagement productions. These selections are some of the timeliest, most thought-provoking, and entertaining new plays being written by the nation's most exciting playwrights.

Round House Theatre continues its 2017-2018 Season with Athol Fugard's "Master Harold"… and the Boys, directed by Artistic Director Ryan Rilette. Artistic Director Ryan Rilette and Managing Director Ed Zakreski are thrilled to announce the five mainstage shows that will comprise Round House Theatre's 41st Season. This announcement comes on the heels of the launch of 'Full Circle,' a capital campaign that will expand the company's artistic and education programming, as well as make significant upgrades to the interior performance and public spaces at the company's theatre in Bethesda, Md.

Beginning tonight, March 27th, Zach Adkins will assume the role of 'Dmitry' in the hit Broadway musical Anastasia. Adkins is an original member of the Broadway company, currently appearing on stage at the Broadhurst Theatre in the ensemble.

Hartford Stage Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts today announced the line-up of classic, contemporary, thought-provoking and entertaining new work that will comprise the Tony Award-winning regional theatre's 55th season, Tresnjak's final season as Artistic Director.

Celebrating ANASTASIA's first anniversary on Broadway, producers today announce the official North American tour will begin performances in Schenectady (Proctors Theatre) this October before visiting over 30 cities in its first year including Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia, San Francisco, with additional cities to be announced this spring. La MaMa, in association with The Assembly, presents the world premiere of SEAGULLMACHINE, created by The Assembly, conceived by Nick Benacerraf, co-directed by Jess Chayes (Lucille Lortel Award winner) and Nick Benacerraf, and text by Anton Chekhov, Heiner Muller and The Assembly. Philadelphia Theatre Company presents the Ars Nova production of the Obie Award winning play Small Mouth Sounds, written by Bess Wohl and directed by Tony nominee  Rachel Chavkin (Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812). In the overwhelming quiet of the woods, six wildy dissimilar runaways from city life embark on a week-long silent retreat. Guided by an unseen guru and pledging a vow of silence, these strangers confront internal demons both profound and absurd. Both contemplative and funny, Small Mouth Sounds is a cleverly conceived and sharp observation of the pursuit of wellness and the achingly human need to connect.  Small Mouth Sounds will preview on March 13 and opens on March 14, 2018. The show will run for 24 performances through April 1, 2018 at Philadelphia Theatre Company at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (480 S. Broad Street). HEIFETZ, written by James Inverne and directed by Andrew Leynse. All ticketholders for the evenings of Saturday, February 10 (Mariella Haubs); Saturday, February 17 (Edward W. Hardy of Sterling Strings); and Saturday, February 24 (Luisa Bastidas) are invited to remain after the performance to enjoy live music performed by special guest violinists. The concerts are free for all ticketholders for that evening's performance.

Artists Rep presents The Holler Sessions, written, directed and performed by Frank Boyd in collaboration with the Brooklyn-based theatre ensemble, the TEAM. This one-weekend, limited engagement production is the second of Artists Rep's 2017/18 FRONTIER SERIES that brings new work in performance to Portland. The Holler Sessions will run for only four performances March 8 through March 11, 2018.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Oklahoma! is making its way back to New York. St. Ann's Warehouse and Eva Price will present a limited run of the Bard SummerScape production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, directed by Daniel Fish.

There's a new school in town and it's revolutionizing the way musical theatre students receive an education. Andrew Drost and Michael Minarik are the masterminds behind the Institute for American Musical Theatre, a school that is all about getting students out onto stages working under the lights of Broadway theatres. Cupid shoots his arrow down music's memory lane this February 14th as audiences are transported to an era when clubs were hot, everyone dressed up and martinis came straight up. Sara Bareilles is staying at the diner! The producers of Broadway's smash Waitress announced today that Tony and Grammy Award nominee Sara Bareilles, the composer and lyricist of the hit musical, will extend her engagement as the titular pie-maker, Jenna Hunterson, to March 11, 2018. Until February 11, she'll share the stage with two-time Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz as the charming Dr. Pomatter.

The producers of Broadway's Waitress made an auspicious announcement today, National Pie Day. Beginning on February 1, Broadway's Waitress will celebrate Valentine's Day for an entire month when they add a new flavor to the selection of mouth-watering pies sold during performances inside the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The show's pie consultant Stacy Donnelly, has created the 'Berry-Sweet Valentine's Day Cheesecake,' a cheesecake flavored pie with a hint of lemon and raspberries on top.
