NPR is sharing a powerful new video for Natalie Prass' track 'The Fire' today from her sophomore album The Future And The Past. Directed by Alex Germanotta, the video is 'a statement on power dynamics between people in relationships and in society,' according to Prass. Shot in the remains of Presidents Park outside Richmond, Virginia - a now defunct open-air museum where visitors could walk among 43 presidential busts, each standing over 18 feet tall - the crumbling monument visually encapsulates the themes of Prass' new album; her heartbreak over the 2016 presidential election and her newly born awareness that she could use her music to talk about social justice.

National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announces its 84th Rolling World Premiere (RWP): Reykjavik by Steve Yockey. The Roll kicks off at Core Member Theater Actor's Express (October  27-November 18, 2018 in Atlanta), followed by Rorschach Theatre (February 8-March 3, 2019 in Washington, DC), Kitchen Dog Theater (June 6-30, 2019 in Dallas) and Southern Rep (October 2-20, 2019 in New Orleans).

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts's production of Shear Madness, the uproarious 'whodunit' that holds the Guinness World Record as the longest-running play in America, resumes performances tonight in the Theater Lab. The zany production, which opened at the Kennedy Center in August of 1987 for what was intended to be a 12-week run, has entertained more than 3.5 million people at the Kennedy Center and has been enjoyed by more than 12 million people worldwide.

In just over two weeks, Iceland's Secret Solstice festival will again take place in the world's most northerly capital city, Reykjavik, for its fifth edition during 96 hours of continuous sunlight from June 21-24, 2018. Bringing a stacked lineup, Secret Solstice will be headlined by Slayer who are on their Final World Tour, as well as Stormzy, Gucci Mane, Bonnie Tyler, Clean Bandit, GusGus, Dubfire, Lee Burridge, Skream and more top international and Icelandic acts across rock, hip-hop and electronic music. Jonah Sirota, former violist of the Chiara String Quartet, releases his debut solo albumSTRONG SAD worldwide on National Sawdust Tracks on June 22, 2018. The New York Philharmonic announces Foreign Bodies, a one-night-only multidisciplinary event conducted and hosted by Esa-Pekka Salonen, concluding his tenure as The Marie-Jos e Kravis Composer-in-Residence. The concert, Friday, June 8, 2018, at 8:00 p.m., will feature Esa-Pekka Salonen's Foreign Bodies, accompanied by the World Premiere of a live video installation by Tal Rosner; Dan el Bjarnason's Violin Concerto, with Pekka Kuusisto in his New York Philharmonic debut; and Obsidian Tear, a dance work choreographed by Wayne McGregor performed by members of the Boston Ballet (Philharmonic debut) and set to Mr. Salonen's Nyx and Lachen verlernt. Foreign Bodies will be casual and multi-sensory; drinks and conversation will flow as attendees mingle with the performers, who will give additional impromptu performances throughout the event.

On Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 4:00pm, the pioneering International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) presents a program of works by composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir highlighting her unorthodox use of the piano. ICE pianist Cory Smythe, a champion and commissioner of Anna's solo music, is in the center of National Sawdust's stage, circled by the audience, with the audience encircled by ICE musicians, immersed in the music. Conductor Steven Schick, a longtime ICE collaborator, leads the ensemble. This performance is part of ICE's year long participation as a National Sawdust 2017-18 Artists-in-Residence. This project is supported by Nokia Bell Labs Experiments in Art and Technology program.

The xx are set to play a pair of intimate shows at Washington, D.C.'s 9:30 Club this summer on July 26and 27, between their headlining sets at FYF in Los Angeles and Panorama in New York. The dates are the band's first in the U.S. since their wildly successful I See You tour last fall.

For one night only, Joshua Bell, classical music's star violinist, returns to the Columbus Symphony for the first time since 1999, to perform the deeply romantic concerto of Max Bruch.
