English National Opera has released new production photos for PARTENOPE, returning to the London Coliseum from 20 November to 6 December 2025. The revival of Christopher Alden’s Olivier Award-winning staging features Nardus Williams in the title role and is conducted by Christian Curnyn.

ENO's award-winning production of Handel's classic love quadrangle, Partenope, will return to the London Coliseum stage this November, starring former Harewood Artist Nardus Williams as the eponymous arch socialite.

The Christmas season is on its way, and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine is ready to celebrate with two Joy of Christmas concerts on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10 at 7 pm at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street). 

Mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato brings her latest innovative project to Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on Saturday, April 23 at 8:00 p.m. Titled EDEN, the program explores our individual connection to nature and its impact on our world and features Ms. DiDonato’s frequent collaborators Maxim Emelyanychev leading Italian chamber orchestra Il Pomo d’Oro. Fusing music, movement, and theater, the program includes works spanning from the 17th to the 21st century by Handel, Gluck, Wagner, Mahler, Ives, and Copland, as well as the New York premiere of Academy Award-winning composer Rachel Portman’s The First Morning of the World, commissioned specifically for this project.

The Broad Stage presents Polish countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński, who has quickly emerged as one of the most vibrant performers on the international classical music scene, triumphing on stage, in concert and on recording.  He makes his Los Angeles and Broad Stage debut on March 10, 2022, at 7:30pm on the Main Stage with an eclectic program of baroque, romantic and 20th century songs.

San Francisco Opera General Director Matthew Shilvock today announced repertory and casting for the Company's 97th Season, opening Friday, September 6, 2019, with a gala performance of Charles Gounod's Romeo and Juliet (Rom o et Juliette) starring tenor Bryan Hymel and soprano Nadine Sierra in Op ra de Monte-Carlo Director Jean-Louis Grinda's production. Encompass New Opera Theatre will present the world premiere of Anna Christie with music by Edward Thomas set to a libretto by Joseph Masteroff, beginning on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 8pm, running through Sunday, October 21, 2018, at the Baruch Performing Arts Center (at 55 Lexington Avenue, entrance on 25th Street, between Lexington and Third Avenues). 

Established to perform intimate and unique opera performances, Opera180 is launching its 2018 season with the highly interactive production of Bon Operatit. This summer, countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo, a "bona-fide star" (New Yorker) of the Metropolitan Opera, Berlin Philharmonic, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Francisco Opera, English National Opera, Canadian Opera Company, LA Opera, and Glyndebourne, returns as one of twelve curators to Brooklyn's artist-led National Sawdust (NS), where he will present and perform in a radical reimagining of Handel's dramatic cantata Aci, Galatea e Polifemo, a co-production of National Sawdust and San Francisco's Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale (led by conductor Nicholas McGegan).
