THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - will present the debut of Israeli music and comedy star, Nansi Brandes on Thursday, April 19 at 8:00 PM. In a New York evening celebrating the 70th anniversary of Israel's independence, the musician and comedian returns to personal stand-up comedy. He shares humorous stories of his second marriage to a woman thirty years younger, his children and the long time he spent in the hospital, struggling against a small, violent, deadly bacterium that threatened to pass him on to the next world.

The Beach Boys-Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and America's first pop band to reach the 50-year milestone-have become the world's favorite soundtrack to summer with their classic hits including "Fun, Fun, Fun," "I Get Around," "Help Me Rhonda," "California Girls," the Grammy-nominated "Good Vibrations," and the chart-topping "Kokomo."

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation, the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), honored acclaimed Director Julie Taymor with the distinguished 2018 'Mr. Abbott' Award for outstanding artistry and creativity over the course of her career. The Award was presented at the Foundation's annual gala event on April 2, 2018 in New York City, at the Bohemian National Hall.

Through the generosity of Jackie Autry, the McCallum Theatre welcomes the return of The Beach Boys for two performances on Sunday, March 4, at 3:00pm and 7:00pm. You can capsulize most pop music acts by reciting how many hits they've had and how many millions of albums they've sold. The production takes audiences on a deeply personal, high energy journey into the private and public life of this famed Underground Railroad conductor, spiritual icon, revolutionary, and entrepreneur, whose life spanned nine decades and still influences the consciousness of people throughout the world. The production is directed by Clinton Turner Davis and will take stage February 8 to March 4 at Castillo Theatre, 543 West 42nd Street.

As difficult as it is to fathom, some 27 years ago my first review of Les Miserables the internationally renowned musical based upon the iconic 1861 Victor Hugo novel about a reformed bread thief who is pursued over the decades by a relentless lawman in post-Revolutionary France was published, yet one thought remains consistent and steadfast. If faced with someone who claims to dislike musical theater, take them to see Les Mis (as the theatrical juggernaut is known throughout the world thanks to countless revivals, regional production, televised spectacles and one Oscar-winning film) for its epic storytelling, emotionally driven character studies and a lush and memorable score that is sure to win over the most hardened opponents of the art form.
