5-STAR THEATRICALS (formerly Cabrillo Music Theatre) continues its 2017-2018 season with the Thousand Oaks premiere of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, book by Peter Parnell (based on the Victor Hugo Novel and songs from the Disney film), musical direction by Dan Redfeld, choreography by Michelle Elkin and directed by Misti B. Wills. THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME opens on Friday, April 20, 2017 and runs through Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the 1,800-seat Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.  

Peak Performances presents the U.S. premiere of Esta Breve Tragedia de la Carne (This Brief Tragedy of the Flesh), Spanish writer, director, and performance artist Angelica Liddell's encapsulation of Emily Dickenson's morbidly beautiful understanding of the human condition. Liddell's confrontational work has been embraced with standing ovations at a number of festivals (d'Avignon and d'Automne in France, Vie in Italy, and Theatre Vidy-Lausanne in Switzerland), and met with the type of critical enthusiasm reserved for rising legends.

Tribeca Film Institute and Charitybuzz are bringing screen legends Robert De Niro and Al Pacino back together for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The highest bidder and their lucky guest will join the actors for a private lunch, courtesy of De Niro in New York City. The proceeds will benefit the Tribeca Film Institute, which provides funding and resources to diverse groups of exceptional filmmakers and media artists, empowering these storytellers to be catalysts for change in their communities and around the world. Legendary ballet costume designer HOLLY HYNES and costume and scenic designer ZACK BROWN are among the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients which were just announced by TDF, the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts. Ms. Hynes was selected to receive the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Brown will receive the Robert L. B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. The awards are presented through TDF's Costume Collection. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 20, at 6:30pm, at the Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).
