The idea of the concept album took flight at the same time as the idea of the rock musical. A concept album introduces audiences to the score of a musical by deliberately releasing an album of the songs before any live production exists at all. The concept album ostensibly stands on its own terms.

Phish will return to Sphere in Las Vegas next year for nine shows, set for April 16-18, April 23-25, and April 30-May 2. A ticket request period is now underway and will continue through 9:00 am PT / 12:00 noon ET on Monday, December 8.

RIVERDANCE 30 - The New Generation, the international Irish dance  phenomenon seen by over 30 million people worldwide, will return to the United States in 2026. Launching in Sarasota,  Florida, the new show, RIVERDANCE 30 - The New Generation, will play in 67 American cities from January to June 2026.  

Phish will return to New York City on Sunday, December 28, through Wednesday, December 31, for a four-night New Year’s run at Madison Square Garden. A much-loved New Year’s tradition, this year’s run will bring Phish's total number of shows at The Garden to 91. 

Mariah Carey, the best-selling female artist of all time,  is coming to Las Vegas with her holiday spectacular, “Mariah Carey’s Christmastime in Las Vegas,” at Dolby Live at Park MGM.

Westport Country Playhouse will present Alec Baldwin and Stephanie Zimbalist in “The Fitzgeralds: A Reading with Music.' Portions of the proceeds from this fundraising event will support the Joanne Woodward Internship Program and educational programming at the Playhouse.

The Den Theatre today announced upcoming October 2025 shows at the theatre's Wicker Park stages, including Alex Borstein, Janeane Garofalo and more. See the full lineup here!

To Wong Foo the Musical, featuring Quadry Brown, Solomon Parker III, Connor James Reilly, and David Singleton, recently made its American debut as a concert as part of Olney Theatre Center’s Outdoor series.

Shutdown has announced the band’s upcoming U.S. Midwest and UK/EU touring that will span July and August. Kicking off on July 2 in Columbus, OH, the band will also be performing in Kansas City, MO, St. Louis, MO, Jacksonville, IL and Jonesboro, AR through July 6.

Phish will wrap up their Summer Tour 2025 with a series of newly announced late summer tour dates. The run includes two-night stands at Birmingham, AL’s Coca-Cola Amphitheater and Alpharetta, GA’s Ameris Bank Amphitheatre.

Toad The Wet Sprocket will extend their upcoming Good Intentions 2025 U.S. headlining tour into the fall with additional dates in September and October with KT Tunstall and Vertical Horizon.

Legendary band Sublime is set to take over Las Vegas with ‘Fear, Loathing, and Sublime in Las Vegas’ at Park MGM August 14-16. The three-day celebration of music includes two electrifying shows at Dolby Live Friday, Aug. 15 and Saturday, Aug. 16.

May 20, 2025 will mark the 31st anniversary of the Herb Alpert Award in the Arts (HAAIA) given to ten risk-taking, mid-career artists - experimenters - who are challenging and transforming art, their respective disciplines, and society.

Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lyrics by Tim Rice and directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes. Jesus Christ Superstar runs May 14 – June 15.
