Magician Chris Wheel and Mindreader Dustin Dean have announced their show, " Vice Versa, " a night of magic, mystery and the unexpected. The event will take place in The Oncenter Bevard Studio ( 590 S. State Street ) on Friday, June 1st at 7 : 00 p.m. The first show of its kind in the area, the exclusive show features Wheel's exquisite sleight of hand magic and illusions along with Dean's amazing ability to read thoughts from the audience.

Presented by The Playwrights Realm (Katherine Kovner, Founding Artistic Director; Roberta Pereira, Producing Director) and directed by Jade King Carroll, this philosophical, and tender comedy is split between the perspectives of a lesbian couple trying to conceive, and their potential-sperm-donor/aerospace engineer friend as they're stretched to contemplate the unknowns of their future.

Legendary ballet costume designer HOLLY HYNES and costume and scenic designer ZACK BROWN are among the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients which were just announced by TDF, the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts. Ms. Hynes was selected to receive the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Brown will receive the Robert L. B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. The awards are presented through TDF's Costume Collection. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 20, at 6:30pm, at the Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).

Today, Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Sesame Street Live! Let's Party! at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. SCAN New York received the Walmart Community Playmakers Award and a check for $1,000 on-stage before a Sesame Street Live show. As a part of the honor, Bronx children from SCAN were invited to the Sesame Street Live pre-show experience to meet Cookie Monster, Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch before enjoying the show. SCAN COMPASS after-school Program Directors Grace Garcia of PS 73X and Wanda Santiago of PS 114X were onsite to accept the award and check.
