After the company's incredible reception during their three performances in the Chicago Dancing Festival this summer, it was clear the city could not get enough of this high energy company. Rennie Harris Puremovement Street Dance Theater presents RHAW- Rennie Harris Awe-Inspiring Works - is an energetic, inspiring, and breath-taking program. It is focused on forging new paths for young hip hop hopefuls and presents hip hop in its "RHAW-est" forms, while highlighting urban culture. The New York Times says, "they don't settle for eliciting gasps…The vocabulary embraces not just the full historical panoply of hip-hop styles, but also salsa, tap, and vernacular moves…" This performance will replace Hubbard Street 2's Mariko's Magical Mix: A Dance Adventure as the final Family Series performance of the season on May 13, 2017.
