This concert is a celestial and earthly reflection on the cosmic mechanics of time and the cyclical nature of life. The program juxtaposes two great works from the 19th and the 20th centuries inspired by the twelve months of the year and the twelve houses of the Zodiac. Written almost a century apart, the poetic lyricism of Tchaikovsky's Seasons is contrasted with the enigmatic sonorities of Crumb's Makrokosmos, weaving a journey through the calendar year and bringing the pastoral simplicity of the earthly Seasons and the mystical symbolism of the Makrokosmos into a beguiling dialogue.

Each concert is followed by complimentary drinks and bruschetta in the St John's garden.
