Comedy Central, the #1 brand in comedy, Superfly, the founders of Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands co-producer Another Planet Entertainment, today announced the Live Read castings for cult hits Clueless and Romy & Michele's High School Reunion at Clusterfest in San Francisco June 21-23. Wildly popular, the Live Reads are dramatic staged readings of popular movie scripts, and past performances have included Spice World, Planes Trains and Automobiles and Wayne's World. This year they will reach new levels of hilarity with must-see ensemble casts putting their spin on two film favorites. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Clueless will star Issa Rae (Cher), Amanda Seales (Dionne), Ilana Glazer (Tai), Kumail Nanjiani, star of the upcoming film Stuber (Josh), Chris Redd (Murray) and others. Romy & Michele's High School Reunion will feature drag queens Trixie Mattel (Romy), Katya Zamolodchikova (Michele) and San Francisco legend Peaches Christ (Heather) with supporting roles filled by Matteo Lane, Nicole Byer and more.

The nationally regarded Fulton Theatre has announced the most exciting season in the theatre's 166-year history! The Fulton "Engages Life Through Art" through three distinct series serving over 160,000 patrons through diverse programing reflecting the broad make-up of the Lancaster community and greater region of eastern Pennsylvania. The 2019-2020 season, with three regional premieres, begins September 17 and continues through July 26.

The 18th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today announced its 2019 lineup of 63 diverse and engaging short films in competition, including 31 world premieres. This year's shorts program includes a cross-section of international and U.S. filmmakers, curated from a record 5131 submissions with female filmmakers directing 45% of the selections. The short films will be presented in 11 distinct competition programs, consisting of six narrative, four documentary, and one animation program. There will also be special screening programs for the annual Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival and the debut of shorts from The Queen Collective, a program aimed at accelerating gender and racial equality behind the camera. The 2019 shorts lineup is programmed by Sharon Badal and Ben Thompson. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 24 - May 5.

In celebration of International Women's Day, YouTube has unveiled a slate of female-focused programming including a new short film, “Brave Girl Rising,” written and performed by refugees, and a new animated series, “Sherwood” starring Anya Chalotra, Tyler Posey, Jamie Chung, Aneurin Barnard and guest starring Joseph Fiennes) which casts Robin Hood as a girl who uses code to right the wrongs of the world in the 23rd century. Schimmel Center at Pace University continues its 2018-19 Dance Series with the return of Battery Dance on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 7:30pm. 'Bring it On' meets 'Dreamgirls' in the girl-group musical, 'Betty and the Belrays' by William Electric Black aka Ian Ellis James, which will be presented by Theater for the New City January 31 to February 17. The piece tells the story of three white female singers from Detroit who struggle to change a racially divided society by singing for a black record label. Book and lyrics are by William Electric Black. Music is by Black, Valerie Ghent (arranger/keyboards for Ashford & Simpson) and Gary Schreiner. Choreography is by Jeremy Lardieri. Director is Mr. Black.
