Noise Now Announces Fall 2020 Programming

In alignment with A Noise Within's (ANW) season theme of Spirits Rising, Noise Now will further expand its reach for fall 2020 by partnering with ten Los Angeles cultural arts organizations for ten events beginning in late August through the beginning of January. The fall season was announced last week via Facebook Live by ANW Director of Cultural Programming Jonathan Muñoz-Proulx. Launched in February 2019 and now in its second year, Noise Now is a cultural initiative by A Noise Within aimed at sharing artistic resources and producing events that are radically accessible to all audiences, including underrepresented groups, communities of color, young people, and anyone who may not be equitably represented in theatre.

Italian Theater Festival NY, a festival of Italian theater taking place in all five boroughs of NYC, April 27-May 11. San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) announced today the lineup of FREE REP Xtras Events surrounding the downtown theatre's production of House of Joy, including multiple mini-concerts and dance presentations from some of San Diego's best Indian arts and cultural groups. Intended to deepen and enhance the play-going experience and strengthen the REP's missional commitment to celebrate the multiple voices of our region, REP Extras Events provide the public and REP audiences with an opportunity to engage with themes and issues around plays on the REP's season, enjoy the Lyceum Spaces, and become more integrated in the REP community.  REP's Xtras Events include community-focused conversations, actor talk-backs, musical performances, a visual art exhibit and other activities.

Latino Theater Company Has Announced its 2020 Season

The more things change - the more they stay the same. L.A.'s Latino Theater Company explores the political and cultural climate in 2020 with an eclectic season of productions that looks back at our history and ahead to our future: revivals that reflect the company's past work and the tumultuous fight for Chicano civil rights; contemporary work that explores today's issues; and unique offerings by two guest artists from Spain. In addition, the company will present two free film series, the company's annual free play reading series, and, in December, for the 18th consecutive year, the beloved site-specific holiday pageant La Virgen de Guadalupe, Dios Inantzin at L.A.'s Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. All performances and screenings, except La Virgen, take place at The Los Angeles Theatre Center, a five-theater complex located in a landmark building in Downtown's Historic Core.
