Just last night, the stars came out to celebrate Stephen Sondheim's 90th Birthday with 'Take Me To The World: A Sondheim 90th Birthday Celebration'. The free online event, hosted by Raúl Esparza, on the exact 50th anniversary of the opening night of Sondheim's musical Company (the original production debuted on Broadway on April 26, 1970).

Park International Center for Music announced today that their 2020-2021 Season would once again kick off their season in September at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts with Stanislav & Friends.

The CMA Foundation, a national music education nonprofit and the philanthropic arm of the Country Music Association, is honoring 30 music teachers from across the country as Music Teachers of Excellence. San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) announced today the lineup of FREE REP Xtras Events surrounding the downtown theatre's production of House of Joy, including multiple mini-concerts and dance presentations from some of San Diego's best Indian arts and cultural groups. The B.B. King Blues Band are thrilled to announce their new partnership with The B.B. King Estate. This joint venture now finds the two forces working together to bring the world The B.B. L.A.'s Latino Theater Company explores the political and cultural climate in 2020 with an eclectic season of productions that looks back at our history and ahead to our future: revivals that reflect the company's past work and the tumultuous fight for Chicano civil rights; contemporary work that explores today's issues; and unique offerings by two guest artists from Spain. In addition, the company will present two free film series, the company's annual free play reading series, and, in December, for the 18th consecutive year, the beloved site-specific holiday pageant La Virgen de Guadalupe, Dios Inantzin at L.A.'s Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. The annual Ballet Icons Gala in London has been organised by Ensemble Productions since 2006. The Gala's programmes pay tribute to the traditions of the legendary Russian and other most prominent ballet schools and its legendary dancers who have been inspiring the ballet world and ballet lovers for centuries.

Radial Theater Project and 18th & Union will present a live stage production of George Orwell's 1984, opening February 21, 2020 at 18th & Union in Seattle's Central District.

As part of Carnegie Hall's 2020-2021 season, announced on January 28, the Boston Symphony Orchestra will perform three programs on October 26, 2020, and April 14 and 15, 2021, led by BSO Music Director Andris Nelsons. Segerstrom Center for the Arts has announcd the return of the internationally acclaimed Vienna Piano Trio on February 29, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. Celebrated for its finesse, exuberance, tonal allure, and irresistible panache, the Vienna Piano Trio has been regarded as one of the world's leading chamber ensembles. The renowned trio performs a program of Haydn, Ravel and Mendelssohn. Members include David McCarroll, violin; Clemens Hagen, cello; and Stefan Mendl, piano.

Third Street Music School Settlement presents 20-21 Vision- their annual new music festival that traces the heritage of contemporary composers through links to the great 20th century masters. This year the focus is on Paul Hindemith, who, like Third Street, is celebrating his 125th anniversary. Composer and Hindemith student Yehudi Wyner will be on hand to discuss Hindemith's legacy, his influence on his own work and on others. Mr. Wyner will be among the performers is a concert of his music spanning seven decades.
